do I care about overall? i care about me personally and the bills I have to pay...and when someone makes a general statement like that they better be ready to back it up, to the individuals who pay out of their pocket for their health costs

You will get conflicting numbers depending on the source but from what I have seen OUT OF POCKET health care costs have gone up almost 50% over the past 4 years. About 4xs that of inflation.

Same here in San Diego we just got a 20% increase for our company's plan.
