I was watching Discovery Times last night and they had a hour long show on mail order Russian Brides. Any one else see it?

I've seen other shows on it... a big rip off and few work

alot of girls in stripclubs will pay huge sums of money to have you marry them for a short time.. then divorce just to get a citizenship

It has been a while since a person could marry a USA citizen and get their residency quickly. Now you have to stay married for many more years.

I have always preached to other guys to forget about getting married to a girl from the USA. I started traveling to Europe when I was 21 and that opened my eyes to how much better euro girls are in almost every way.

I thought it has pretty much always been instant conditional permanent resident, 2 years later pernanent resident and three years after that Citizen. So you still just need to stay married for 2 years.

But yeah they are really cracking down on Marriage fraud especially after 9/11. Apart from getting caught which is quite likely, it will fuck up your credit, taxes any future "real" marriage etc so not worth it.
