dutch people: how is crime in your opinion in the netherlands
 

i know there are statstics that state crime is really low but what are your personal experiences with it?

We shouldnt really complain, we just have a lot of stupid people and we have a "morals" problem.

We have a lot of freedom here, but 90% of society cant handle freedom.........

I ve read somewhere that Netherlands have about 15 killings per year for whole country .. I think its very low... Whole north europe is considered to be a crime free area ..

Hey .. I live in the center of Amsterdam and this is one of the safest places I lived in.
Policemen only stop bicycles who ride without lights at the night :).. Coffeeshops are open from 10 in the morning, could it be a dangerous place? :1orglaugh

Holland is quite safe. People dont walk around with guns here and the police are totally relaxed people compared to the US for instance.

I believe only 2 or 3 policemen were killed during duty in the last 10 years or so.

And usually the only people who get murdered here are criminals. Killed by other criminals. Sadly enough we have the odd incident where someone innocent gets murdered but this happens in every country.

People are relaxed here unlike in some countries where tension arises most of the time because of terrorist attacks.
