Things to do in Hawaii???

So Lensman is sending us to Hawaii for our honeymoon. This is by far the coolest gift either of us have ever received! And in our excitement just to be there, we realized that we don't have a clue where to go or what to do. We're staying at Waikiki Beach and will have a car, so we're free to go where we please. Anybody have any suggestions on must-see's or must-do's while we are there? Any good secluded beaches? Best places for scuba diving? Good clubs? Anything?

we like sick kinky stuff

I like to dive and snorkel. Last time I was in Hawaii we stayed on Maui and Oahu.

Molokini was a great spot to get wet:

On Maui Head towards the "Road to Hana"

Right after the broken down VERY OLD pickup truck take a left into the pineapple feild.

Fallow the trail that is closest to the clif (don't drive to fast)

Go all the way down about 1 mile or so before the road ends at a circle/open area.

Look down the 200 foot cliff at 70 Foot Waves Known as "JAWS"

You MUST go to the Paradise Cove Luau. We've been to all the islands, and many of the luaus, and Paradise Cove is by far the best.... hands down. Take a shuttle, and plan on doing some drinking. Also, If you can, plan on spending around another $600 and visiting Maui for 3 days/2 nights. If in Maui you must take the "road to Hana". All day trip, and well worth it. Oahu is a great island, but Maui is our favorite. Even if you can't visit Maui Oahu will keep you plenty busy! Have lots of fun! :) We didn't get to go this year, and really missed it.

That's what I've heard. I would really like to come back in one piece, but on the other hand I'd love to find a beach not swarmed with kids and tourists. Maybe even a nude beach :Graucho

I am not sure is anything special is going on this week. We're usually partying on the weekends and most days during the week too, but if you're here for your honeymoon you probably want to do romantic stuff. You should go on a sunset cruise, go to a Luau if you've never been to one, the one at the Polynesian Cultural Center on the North Shore is nice, or there's a few in Waikiki on the beach. Hit up Hanuama Bay one day, but not Tuesday because it's closed that day. Duke's is a good touristy restaurant, but you'll need to call ahead at least 4 or 5 days in advance to get reservations for a sunset dinner. Also you should eat Poi, it tastes like shit. Oh yes, and Hormel ships more Spam to Hawaii than any other place in the world, so eat some of that too.

That one looks good! Do you know how long the shuttle ride from Waikiki is?
We probably won't be going to Maui, but that just means we'll have to take another trip back and do Maui next time.

Just out of curiosity, how long does it take to drive from one end of the island to the other?

mmm... good memories of tourist chicks when I lived in Hawaii.

There is something in the air that makes people horny 24/7 :Graucho

Missy you cannot help but have a great time there. There are a million brochures with stuff to do on Oahu. It is more crowded and touristy than the other islands but also more nightlife.

No official nude beach but there is one at Diamond Head as was said earlier.

For sex on the beach, I would recommend Hawaii Kai. Park by the 5 million dollar houses and walk down the paths between them to the beach at night. Dark and secluded although I have done it on Waikiki beach at the Hilton lagoon.

There is a streaming webcam by Duke's staue on Waikiki beach so you can call your friends and do the "hey look at me" thing.

Look forward to hearing how it went. :)

You are basically driving in a cirlcle rather than end to end, about 2-3 hours nonstop.

It takes about 15-20 min to drive from Honolulu to my place which is the other end of the island pretty much if there is no traffic.

The island is only like 30 miles long..

if you want to come by our area theres stuff to do here.. Here is the website for our resort:

Definitely going to have to check that one out then! And although I've been to Hawaii twice now (when I was younger), I've never had sex on the beach there. That's going to be a must-do too :thumbsup

We just might have to do that. Do you know any good places for a newbie to try windsurfing? I've been wanting to try that since I can remember.

I saw that but we still might try to get over there just for a day trip or something, Missy is a good swimmer and I can hold on tight for the free ride, plus looking at the map it looks like the is an island between the two so she can rest for awhile if she needs to :)
Seriously though, we have 5 full days and the air fare is only $300 so it is still possible that we may want to check it out, doubtful but possible :)
Hank...hey my friend how ya doing? I like your way of thinking...lol

thewebgarage 11-01-2004 11:55 PM

I had a lot of fun there. rent scooters. drive around up to pearl harbor and the volcano. northshore. I loved going kiyaking. and snorkeling is great. take a surfing lesson. theres a great restaurant I wish I could remember the name. By the university. Ask the hotel they'll know it. pretty famous there. small family run place has authentic Hawian food.

It takes about 45 minutes or so for the shuttle. Been to like 5 different Luaus, and we loved Paradise Cove the best. Ask about it at your hotel, they'll know all about it. Also, while you're walking the shopping strip in Waikiki be sure to look for the guys selling tickets to the Pub Crawl.... LOTS of fun..... one year we were the only Americans with like fifty Aussies..... They were crazy! Anyway, they get lots of people together and then you go from bar to bar. Went with a loved one once, and went while single once..... Both times were awesome! And, whatever you do, DON'T do any timeshare info thing for a "free" luau or parasailing or whatever...... You will waste hours to save less then $100.

The road to Hana is on Maui, so you'll miss that, but ya never know.... every time we go we end up staying extra time and flying to another island.... If you do, Maui is the one to visit. Either way, You'll surely want to go back again and again.

Be sure to post lots of pics when you get back! Have tons of Fun!
