i knew a guy like that, he had sever nerve damage, he'd get frostbite all the time and not know, also hit his head bad and it started to bleed and he didn't know, passed out a couple of hours later from blood loss.

Oh yes but what about a leaky appendix or some other serious illness???

the chances of having that is one in a mil when was the last time your friend complained to you, oh shit im been in pain the last few days my appendix has been leaking something awful....now combine that with having this rare disease , i wouldnt worry bout those odds,,,she has a better chance of getting hit by a car and survivng only because she coulodnt feel the pain so she manages to keep from passing out and tying something to stop the blood loss....

No pain? that would be terrible? God. how will you know what's wrong with your body if don't feel pain?

OMG that is awful! I can not imagine having to deal with a child like that. how you do teach them that if they do something they can brake a bone? or cut off a limb
