I need to gain weight.
 
Ok, I need to put on some weight. It is a pain in the fucking ass, and these diet crazes have not been helping. So I figure ask here.

Oh and no crap food diets either.

The best way to gain weight is simply this , eat, eat like there's no tomorrow, tons of calories daily . Have 5 medium sized meals a day instead of 3 and snacks or high calorie shakes inbetween .
Drink plenty of water but not with your meals, best to limit yourself to 4 ounces of any drink when you eat .
Limit you caffeine and carbonation intake and dont smoke if ya do . Putting on weight is a bitch .

I need to gain weight too, preferably in a way that is healthy and cheap.

I'm not much of an eater, and even when I do eat alot (e.g. feasts at holidays), I never gain a pound. So it's difficult for me to gain weight just by eating lots of food.

try weight gainer shakes in ADDITION to your meals. work out too. lift heavy.

i used to drink a weight gainer shake right after eating my last meal before i went to bed with ice cream and peanut butter. its got a ton of calories. it should help you gain weight. i weighed like 125-130 when i graduated high school, now i weigh about 170 and its not fat.

I have the same problem, need to gain weight. Only time I gained was when I was in dominican republic (2 weeks all inclusive) :1orglaugh

Here's how to gain weight, eat like a starved animal and train like a beast. Eat at least 5 meals a day and lift heavily and intensely. After a year you should be able put on 20-40 lbs of lean muscle, depending on your genetics and how disciplined you are with your diet and training.

i used to use the gnc ones and they tasted great, then they changed their formula and the new stuff tastes like ass. if you put peanut butter in it though, it tastes 10x better. i make it with chocolate mix too. chocolate mix, peanut butter, vanilla ice cream, milk, and weight gainer powder. if you buy something from gnc and dont like it, you're allowed to take it back as long as you have your recipt so it cant hurt to try some different brands.

Good god, that looks like a shake for getting fat!

I use generic brand stuff, because they aren't very much different then the expensive stuff. I get the chocolate flavored MRPs, mix them with water, add a scoop of chocolate whey and drink it chilled immediately after workouts. I also have a gallon jug of water and chocolate whey in the refrigerator, which I have a glass of every morning with breakfast (usually peanut butter and honey toast on whole grain bread or grits).

What you said about GNC is absolutely correct though and I have to back you up on. Also, if you're a regular customer at GNC, GET A GOLD CARD! This bad boy will save you 15-30% on everything in the store the first week of the month (which is when you should do your shopping, incidentally, unless you unexpectedly run out of something that you absolutely need, like whey or MPRs).

Eat proteins. That will help you bulk up. Protein shakes, any meats like Chicken, Lean Beef and so on.

I was going to look into this for you, but I have no idea what it's like for someone who just wants to "gain" weight. So right now, all I can tell you is search bodybuilding.com for gainers and bulking products then cross check it with forums.bodybuilding.com

By using weight gainer supplements and peanut butter, the ice cream is the least of the bits that'll put weight on you. You must have a screamingly high metabolism, because a shake like you're describing will have between 1,000-2,5000 calories, depending on how much peanut butter you use and how much as well as what type of weight gainer you use. If you can hang with that and not get fat, good on ya, but I would get fat if I even thought about drinking that concoction.

Yep... weight gainer shakes + workout... No other way to 'safely' gain weight... I know something about it. After medical treatment I lost almost 40% of my weight, took me almost a year to get everything back.

'Doubling' or 'quadrupling' your meals will result in FAT - unless they are very, very balanced.
