Compaq machines are 100 times the quality compared to HP garbage. Now Compaq machines will get all cheap-ass parts in them from now on.

Yea, Dell is great. I did a full system with them in 98 and the machine
and the support was awesome. Four or five rings max for support to
answer and no bumping the phone to another department. Great
motherboards and devices. Michael believed in high quality. I hope
they are carrying on the same in 2001-2002.

Mac....uh...where is the reg editor in that OS? Macs draw a mean pic
and show a awesome DVD but they ain't tweekable systems. Twice
the price of a PC and unless your running VirtualPC or something like
that they are not for me. Gfx ppl love 'em but most of those guys
go home to a PC.

Both Compaq and HP lost over 65% of their stock value compared
to their all-time-high. Japanese bought 25% of HP about 6 years
ago when it was in trouble. One thing for sure (after the merger)
the new company will dominate the cheap-ass-PC market. Gateway
should be off the map by 2002 and Dell has only one cheap-ass PC
on their list.

Un-tweekable? Mac now has a unix core. Tweek until your heart is content.

I have a HP and I like it, of course I tweaked it until it was nothing like it came, it was a fun and learning process too... although I'm buying a Dell soon, I just got their printed catalog and both the price and features kick some serious ass!

Mac's having a unix core, beautiful, I'm starting to think that WinXP is really a linux core with a closed source http://bbs.gofuckyourself.com/board/wink.gif the screenshots I have seen look a lot like the new linux Mandrake interfaces I've seen, hehehe, and they say it's stable enough, so it HAS to be linux,

I just read that HP is going to give the axe to 15,000 because of
merger redundancy. Here come more newbie adult webmasters.
