I am seriously considering using their high bandwidth options (ie. 1500GB +)... Can anyone vouch for them?

My friends been using them for a couple months and is happy with it.

they resell for efreeservers.net ... they are ok.

I recommend choopa.com though. They are on Exodus and it's freakin fast.

Choopa is very fast.

I wouldnt touch exodus with a 10ft pool with all the financial trouble they are in.

Then why are google.com, yahoo.com, mircosoft.com, lycos.com network and priceline.com using Exodus. They must know something. Even if they are in trouble... so was PSI.net last year. They even went bankrupt and still provide connectivity.

=) So if you want good fast, affordable bandwidth, Exodus via choopa is the way to go.

Exodus is really looking for either buyer or investors to help them. They are giving themselves time till December .. and if they can't get anyone to help them out by December... they probably will shutdown.


From what I understood, EXDS doesn't actually own fiber/backbone per se. They bought GlobalCenter. Also, not to many people know, but EXDS doesn't own any of their routers or networking hardware. It's all leased.

If they gone bankrupt. Nothing will be operational.

Well theoretically Exodus still has about 1 year. They've $200 millions of cash on hand but lose about $130 millions per year.
If somebody is going to buy them, which would definitely be a good deal for them, they WILL have to reduce the costs. Reducing costs implies reducing staff (technical support staff... they won't reduce the sales crew http://bbs.gofuckyourself.com/board/smile.gif ), removing unused capacity, etc. They can't afford to continue as it is now. Otherwise exodus wouldn't be in the process of running out of cash.
What is this going to mean to their customers? They'll lose the quality of service. It's as simple as that.

Btw, exodus' current quality of bandwidth isn't really that good.
