rowan 11-01-2004 01:01 AM

Is it true your jaw also hurts?

Obviously, if you suspect a heart attack get the fuck down to the hospital

SleazyDream 11-01-2004 01:01 AM

it can be both or one or the other. the sharp pain is more common in cardiac arrest. but numbness can mean impending, or a blackage somewhere in the cardio pulmonary system.

You could experience jaw pain...although not everyone does.

Some experience a tingling in the left arm, often accompanied by numbness.

Others will feel a sharp pain, traveling up the arm, along with chest pain.

Still others think they have moderate to severe indigestion.

Some may experience a tightening in their chest, with shortness of breath or difficulty breathing..sometimes, it feels like the throat is closing.....

Also, there can be profuse sweating....and a feeling of being too hot.....

Yes, it can tighten and or crap up.

You can also feel stiffness and or pain between your shoulder blades. You may sweat a bit for no real reason and and get winded and or tired. You may also experimce some levels of confusion and dizzyness.

My Dad had one last Aug at 67 and my Cousin had a massive one last week at the age of 41. Needless to say.. Ive been looking into this a bit.

:)

My friend's dad had a heart attack about two weeks ago and I saw him today. He said the only symptoms he had was his back hurting in the upper middle part, and being sick to his stomach. He actually threw up a few times. They thought he was coming down with the flu.

Amazing how similar the symptoms of a heart attack and an anxiety attack can be.

Add ingestion to that.

Irritable bowel syndrome.

But, yes. They can be very similar.

Rule of thumb:

Better to feel foolish and go to the ER than be dead.

If you have the time and clarity of thought to wonder which arm = heart attack, you're not having one.

In those cases, I belive that is the first sign and can occur during the early stages of a heart attack.

reynold 11-02-2004 12:09 PM

I think it's the left arm. but the effects varies on different people,

SpikeHeel 11-02-2004 03:48 PM

I think it varies. Nice pix there ha, it looks like an intestine that is bloated.

AphEX 11-02-2004 03:49 PM
