They are connected. you dont move that high up in the family and not have connections. If they were'nt playing an active role somehow they would probably be gone with what they know.

She was married to her boyfriend from high school, Carmine Agnello, until just a few years ago. He ran a multi-million scrap metal biz (30 million, I think) but he got busted for racketeering and was sent to jail. During the trial the government played wire tap tapes and it came out that he was having an affair with his book keeper (or secretary??). VG divorced his ass and he's still in jail for a few more years.

I watch it. What a crazy lifestyle they have. Her kids are out of control and if John was alive they'd be seriously smacked around the way they back talk and don't listen to her.
