I'm a videogame freak, i've played it all since i was 6, arcade pong then space invaders then pac man and every single cuarter muncher up to present day.

I got my first computer just to play videogames at home (C= 64) and played every damn game available for that wonderful little brown breadbox.

Then the commodore amiga 500 came along and the joy of near arcade perfect ports, nintendo, snes, PC and adventure/strategy/fps, psx, dc, ps2,gba, palm, pocket pc, mobile phone games... whatever genre, if there was a videogame created, i've played it.

If you wonder why, the country i live in is a piracy haven, no originals are released here becasue of the tremendous % of piracy... 100% (i've bought imported originals for some of the games that i really felt deserved it, and it's really a burgeon to get them)

I check ign, gamespot, gamespy slashdot games and every other mainstream gaming publication there is. Even some "underground" or games industry only like gamasutra and insertcredit.

I have even played obscure text mode adventures, hentai "choose your own adventure" games, online flash and shockwave shit.

That being said, it is my obligation to inform the gfy community that:



GTA SAN ANDREAS IS WITHOUT A DOUBT THE SINGLE BEST VIDEOGAME EVER CREATED UP TO THIS DAY, FOR EVERY GENRE COMBINED, ON EVERY PLATTFORM.

if you like videogames you HAVE to get this one as soon as possible and play it at least 30 hours to BEGIN to get a taste of all of its features.

Graphics? they suck, there are better looking games available for the ps2. Framerate? it suffers, there is noticeable dropdown in framerate and some drawing distance problems as well as shitty textures everywhere.

sound? it's good, hillarious random speech of pedestrians, nice sound effects, KILLER soundtrack.

Playability?

THIS is what GTA: SA is all about, you have a INMENSE sandbox of shit to do, sims-like character development, strategy-like territory taking and realtime warfare, Burnout 3-like racing, lucasarts-like storyline and humor, and a huge living, breathing city to do as the fuck you want to do. i mean HUGE as in GIGANTIC and i'm not enumerating any detail.

THIS is the game that renders all of my previous gaming experience to hell, i can not play any other game from now on, it RUINED and at the same time took my gaming habit to a whole new level.

I don't think i could play any other videogame from now on, the rest feels like pong all over again.

I was worried about this, I got completely glued to Vice City when it came out for pc! San Andreas is supposed to be out for PC next summer.. I'm in big trouble if I even touch it :1orglaugh

That being said, when reading the previews I was started to get worried that they had over done it with the details. Obviously they did it right... and the PC version will be better :thumbsup

I want to buy an Xbox for my wife... She's been bugging me about it, and I want to get her off my back.
She likes Zelda style games

gta:sa is currently a ps2 exclusive, there are no plans for an xbox version but an xbox2/xenon game -could- be released in late 2005... my advice is go get a ps2 and gta:sa for your wife and a realdoll for you :thumbsup

not the best ever....maybe the best of its genre but i think mgs1 and 2 were way better....and 3 will soon be better as will be gt4...but then ago they are not the same type of game so they cant be compared. ive also played video games since i can remember

Oh and hey Nickless when I seen you on here a few a go I grabbed a screenshot of my traffic and conversions for the week ending last night at midnight. Not that you really care at all, but you said we couldnt have any traffic or be rocking. Just wanted to let you take a quick look see :) Thats all of our traffic not including the new sites since they are not set on my internal stats yet. They are converting like crazy... not one of the new sites is over 1:100

They did it right for sure, i've played the PC version of vice city but while the graphics are 10x better, the gameplay is far better with a ps2 controller, it really does make a difference, as for the game think of it as vice city on A LOT of steroids, just the 3d terrain differences (now you get HUGE mountains and shit to jump on a sanchez bike or a quad bike or whatever you feel like) and other 'little' details go a long way.

MGS1 was #1 in my list until gta vice city came along, I was really disappointed with mgs2 and it's gay-ass rayden, pissed, very sad at it.

My top five best games ever looks like:

#4 Shenmue 2
#5 Wonder boy in monsterland (aka wonder boy 2) even if for just personal reasons. :glugglug

We have just been growing and working deals and making things happen.

The boards, as you know are a tool, but the real work gets done on the phone and icq.

Well, now you've done it.

There will be no living with my husband until I buy this game for him and my son. They will fight over the ps2 and then I'll have to buy another game, one for the big guy and one for the young guy.....and then I'll have to buy another ps2.

Well sure, we lost some, but most of come back and they are cranking. Some of my biggest critics have returned. Why, they took the time out to find out the whole deal and do to the fact we convert. We have ccbill payouts and stats for our affiliates. So unless ccbill has stopped paying (which has not happened) everyone has been getting paid and will continue to.

As for my stats not looking that good.... I would say 1:320 accrossed the 8 sites listed is pretty damn good. They only two site that suck are the two sites we have not redone. Take out those ratios and we are I:200 or damn close to it.

Truefully I would rather have 1400 affiliates sending traffic and joins from everywhere verses then having a handfull sending larger numbers. To many eggs in one basket. Of course we will take the 400 joins a month, but not having a strong affilaites base under that not very wise. We also have a ton of our own traffic as well as crazy type in.

Anyways, we have done our dead level best to make good on everything with everybody. If all of that drama that occured was true, we would have never servived and grown. We di dhave a fuck up here and there... no question, but we fixed it, paid the price and moved on... much to our benefit.

To be honest, i'm glad you're back on your feet and doing well, no matter if it's 1 affiliate sending 10 thousand joins or 1 million sending 500... but the question remains...

How many of those will be credited for rebills? :winkwink:

Its set on indefinate and webmasters get notifcaton emails if their account has been modified. There is no way of messing with anything without the whole world knowing.

This all happened when system5 went live will ccbill. Several people got screwed on some rebills. Nothing was intentional at all. If it were, I would not still be here. Pib is a great example of that. He was caught and truly guilty. He has never returned.

We survived because our affiliates get paid and the most of our affiliates seen past the drama and stood by us. We made an error.... it sucked, but we made it right and never looked back. Perfection Cash and only been open 13 months at that time also. There was a pretty hard learning curve for us in the beginning. We were thrust into a larger sponsors roll, with a tiny program budget. Thats where i fucked up.. instead of growing things at a steady pace we got aggressive which killed our cashflow. That is my error. Looking back I see it as plain as day, but I was caught up in the excitment of it all and made some poor decisions on how we spent our money.

Im just here working it, and its paying off. As you can see we have grown and grown against nearly impossible odds. That should speak volumes.
