Worldsex and Phatservers
 

For the past week or two, Worldsex keeps declining galleries because "Your gallery did not load". I host at phatservers and my box has not been down as far as I can tell. Neither of my monitoring services have reported anything and phat's techs say there's no problem. But now I've talked to two other people hosted on phatservers who've received the same email from Worldsex. They haven't replied to either of my emails and I have no idea what the problem is. Just wondering if anyone else on phat is seing this or it's just coincedence. Sucks to lose all that traffic for no apparent reason...

I host with phatservers and today got a rejected gallery saying my gallery didn't load :[ - I do not show any downtime so I am wondering why it wasn't loading........

care to COPY/PASTE the error?

I buy paid spots at worldsex and host at EV1, when I started I got my first gal rejected with that reason. The reason was he had EV1 DNS servers banned, maybe the same is going on with phatservers. As I have 2 servers with EV1 I just set them up as name servers and changed my domains to use my own nameservers instead of EV1's, problem solved.

why the hell would you ban a whole host? pretty stupid imo unless the host is doing funky shit itself

I had the same issue with the hun, probably lots of cheaters at that host, easier for them to just ban the nameserver. Besides, if you have a pair of dedicated servers you can setup your own nameservers. You can even do it with a single server but that's kinda risky in case one goes down.

If you correct the problem you can submit your gallery again for a possible listing. Please don't ask me by email if it is ok when you changed it, just submit the gallery again, I am getting enough emails already ;-))

Thanks for your input, FaberX. Didn't even consider them banning nameservers...would have assumed brownie wouldn't have even allowed the gallery to be submitted in the first place if this is the case. Will have to try and catch Pierre on icq to ask about this.

BTW, if Brownie doesn't allow to submit, that doesn't meen you have to see it. Brownie has "blacklist transparency" feature, so if webmaster wants Brownie will simulate submission but nothing will be added to database in reality.

Hmm... I have heard of this before from various hosts, I'll check into this for you guys and see what I can find. I don't submit to World Sex but I personally haven't run into this problem.

No, old feature, but... it is transparent :)
Script doesn't tell you you can use it.
