Building Traffic
 

Hi Guys

I've just built my CJ site and was wondering if some of you could give me some tips on how to start getting traffic to it.

Should I first sign up with some other sites to trade traffic with, but then how do I generate the first few hits that I can send to my trade partners?

I would prefer not to have to buy traffic if I can avoid it.

You might want to contact Wizdom. He sells blocks of 404 traffic for 100 bucks US for 20,00 uniques. A lot of people get a dump like that to get their CJ going and have had a lot of luck with it.

I don't use CJ so I have never used it myself, but I spoke with him about it on the phone and with others that have used his service. They swear by it to get the initial jumpstart to fuel their CJ's.

Thanks for the response...Is there any other way to jump start a site other then buying traffic.

A little work isn't a concern, but it would be great to build the traffic without having to pay for it.

A cheap way (only have to pay for content and data-transfer) is TGP posting


Build a few galleries with only links back to your main site. No Sponsors

Submit the gallery to as many TGP's as possible.

This will give your main site a few K to start your trades.

404 is decent...but I wouldnt pay too much for it. Use your htaccess to point your own 404's to you CJ page.

You get a site listed with a URL of www.xxx.com/boobs/jenny.html

You are going to get some many people looking for a back door.... ie. www.xxx.com/boobs/
Direct it all back...or you can even direct it to your cgi.out (not sure if your trades would go for that)

This method takes longer, but it's inexpensive.

But if you do galleries, you have to either pay for the bandwidth, or lose the lions share of your clickthroughs to the free host.. Neither is a really good option.

Buying traffic is a good idea.. Or, you may even be able to convince someone with a big CJ2 to start you up by forcing you a couple k/day for a few days.

I think I will make a few small TGP galleries and submit them with links back to my cj site.

What are some of the easier TGP sites to get listed on...is there an automated process where I can mass submit my galleries to several TGP sites at once?

A CJ is not a good idea if you dont have traffic nor idea how to get it. You'll find yourself working very hard to get to 4-5K then see it falling back soon as you stop the feeding traffic. If you already have some feeding traffic then yout CJ might do well.

Hypo, you're right, I'm not an expert in building traffic to my site...Like everyone that started in this business, you goto start to learn and learn from the bottom up is what happens.

That's why there are boards like this so that those so inclined can share their tips or suggestions with those that are just starting...

i feel that cj site is harder and harder to be grow, alot of site come and dies in a short time, hard to manage it http://bbs.gofuckyourself.com/board/smile.gif

why don't ya make a good site with content
and attract the bookmarker? i know it will
take a long run, but well it's steady traffic
( growing each day )

I agree with Heinrich... make a true site... one with content and work on that.. get it a lot of traffic and BOOKMARKERS( FREE TRAFFIC!!!!!). Then feed your cj sites from it then you can feed you tgp or what not with a exit console from the huge cj sites that you have created http://bbs.gofuckyourself.com/board/wink.gif

If I did make a content site, are there sites that will give you free content..

ie you can download images from their site, load them on your site..say in exchange for a top banner or something?

Most of the content providers I've come across have you put links on your pages to thumbnails on their sites so when a user clicks one, he goes to their site

This is the guy to fucking listen to. His TGP/CJ was up to 45k unique in a matter of days. He also list many of my galleries and makes me some good money.
