Useful link for today

For those that don't know about it..

free online virus scanner.. it works great and is probably the most up to date virus scanner around because it's updated daily.

trend micro is amazing, best virus scanner out there in my opinion, finds stuff the major scanners (norton, mcafee) don't find!

that is the truth. i just uninstalled Norton Internet Security and it boosted my boot time from 2 or 3 minutes to 30 seconds. im running a p4 2.66 with a half a gig of ram too. it is a big PIG!

True, it's a bunch of crap. Constant popups with warnings, firewall that's worth jack shit... And pricey for a blog of crap like that.

using my step moms laptop, it has all that norton crap i hate, takes aout 10 minutes to load before i can even open IE, then i have to open the internt security and disable it just to load GFY, its so annoying.

An online scanner is no substitute for running anti-virus protection.

Try AVG Free http://www.grisoft.com
It's kept me safe for 3 years and doesn't slow my system.
