Do you exercise? If so, what do you do?

Just curious how many of you will die from heart attacks before you reach 50 :winkwink:

My workout schedule is something like this:
  • running: 30-45 minutes every morning
  • free weights: 1.5-2 hours 3-4 times a week (only upper body)
  • mountainbiking: 1-4 hours 2-3 times a week
  • And then an extra hour a day or so riding my bike just getting from A to B. That's not really working out though.

That's a pretty hefty amount of exercise.

I go to the gym 3 times a week and do:

- 15 mins run
- weights (circuit work - 3 sets of 10)

...

I use dumb bells, with sit ups and push ups works real nice for me. The gym is a waste of time. I actually gain weight working out at a gym.

I just stuck with my own methods and it worked. My friends that have been going to the gym for 3 years looked at me and said that i looked better than then and asked how did i do it..LOL

Jogging is also good...:2 cents:

Can't forget having HARDCORE SEX

Your schedule is very busy .. :thumbsup

I do a lot of biking , like 2-3 hours everyday
Morning exercises
Weight lifting 2 times per week
And Yoga few times per week ..

I also smoke weed 3-4 times per week which is stimulating my heart rhythm and benefit to my mental health :)

I use various dumbbell/barbell/weight set exercises (lat tower/leg exerciser/bench) but I'm pretty sure my left arm gets more exercise than the rest of my body.

weight lifting sessions should be 45 mins max, after that point the muscles and body are tired and you'll make little to no progress.

KittyLix 10-31-2004 06:33 AM

The problem with diets and workout schedules from books is that people all need their own diets and workout schedules. Everyone is different, and most books can't adapt to what's right for you.

Depends on what you're aiming for. If you're going for pure size and strength, you're right (somewhat, not completely), but if you're going for endurance, putting in more time can work wonders.

this one has worked with everyone i know that's tried it
its not a "diet" persay. it tells you what you CAN eat and what to look out for in foods, not to eat 10lbs of meat a day or live on grapefruits

I actually drug my ass out of bed this morning and went to the gym first thing, to get it over with. Machines and free weights. No cardio today unless I go walk later.

Tricksy 10-31-2004 09:11 AM

I used to climb 4 hours a day. Then I broke my arm and now I do nothing...

I have no schedule anymore..I work out when i can a few times a week.

It could be a number of things from hiking, jogging, kick boxing, snowboarding, weight lifting..whatever gets my ass up and moving.

my eating could use some fine tuning though
