eminem lip synching?

Looks like it

CybermedAndy 10-31-2004 12:16 AM

I dount he would risk it given last weeks fisaco on snl

Babagirls 10-31-2004 12:18 AM

he had his song playing the background, but he was raping too.

on his next song, he doesnt use a back up track. (snl on was already on here.)

SinSational 10-31-2004 12:31 AM

didn't seem like he was.

Jim_Gunn 10-31-2004 12:41 AM

He was definitely lip-syncing in the first song. There was one point nearer the end of the song when he moved the mic down to near his chest and smacked his lips whille a sentence came out from the track. Fucking lame. And he supposedly has talent.

BuckLover 10-31-2004 12:43 AM

When the song sounds too much like the track you hear on the radio! it's LS for sure!

100% he was doing the LS thing on SNL:2 cents:

All fucking artists are ... britney beyonce celine dion get over it

psyko514 10-31-2004 12:46 AM

I agree with Babagirls. He was singing along to the track (I only saw him perform MOSH).

The track was clearly playing in the background, but he was also clearly rapping at the same time.

KRL 10-31-2004 12:48 AM

Any artist who does lots of dance routines or other crazy moves on stage is almost always using a track.

Its simply not physically possibly to do both without making your singing sound fucked up.

ytcracker 10-31-2004 02:53 AM

when i perform i always have backups on my doubles

its not lip syncing its used to emphasize parts of a song

Doc911 10-31-2004 10:48 AM

He was definitely LSing the first song. The second one looked okay. Maybe he just remembered all the words to the second one.

asuna 10-31-2004 02:20 PM

it was pretty horrible

thats mostly true.....but Beyonce' does both singing and dancing at the same time BUT when she was growing up, her dad made her run and sing at the same time so that she could get used to it.

BULLSHIT. Many, many musicians actually have the talent to perform live, singing and even playing instruments at the same time! I don't care if you are talking about rock & roll, country music, blues, Salsa or whatever. LOTS of musicians can actually do it night after night, in all kinds of venues. To call those lip syncing bimbos that you named "artists" is an insult to performers with real talent.

BabeHunter 10-31-2004 02:43 PM

I don't think he'll risk it...

beemk 10-31-2004 02:45 PM

hes always done that in concert.

Wiggles 10-31-2004 03:06 PM

he comes out with more original shit than anyone and freestyles like noone else, dude has talent, who gives a shit, maybe his throat was sore.

Jim, I've done a lot of deals in the music biz over the years and I've seen the backend operations in concerts and even in studios. The performers that do the dance and moves all over the stage use tracks. Most of these birds aren't even great singers, its all electronically enhanced.

Today its all about the look and packaging and the voice talent is secondary.

And that's just one reason why the music business is in the shitter nowadays.

Digipimp 10-31-2004 07:34 PM

hey kids that's not called lip syncing what they do on shows like that. nearly all tv performances with just a few exceptions have the backgroud vocal track to enhance the sound to make it like what you hear on the radio. that's how it's been for a long time and with the majority of pop type artists.

My husband does this too.... he lays down all of his own vocals on shit he writes, including backups..... and obviously he can't do the lead AND backups at the same time live. I think that's what was done here. It's pretty common knowledge that he does all of his own stuff..... backups and everything. So I don't really think he was lip synching at all. If you listen, it's clear as day that he is doing the backups on his own music in most cases. :winkwink:

If by 'he' you are referring to Eminem's performance on SNL this weekend, he was definitely lip-syncing on the first song. No amount of semantics can change that. There was one instance where the one and only vocal line audible at the moment continued while he lowered the mic from his mouth to his chest and smacked his lips. He's just a male Britney Spears with about as much talent.
