Depends on what you want to do.
Do you want to take him to the dentist in the next couple of days? Deal with the whining and crying, and give him OraGel or Anbesol or something.
Next couple of days isn't happening?
Go to a Wild Oats or something similar in your neighborhood and pick up some Clove Oil.
While you're there, get some ground cloves.
When you get home, get about a teaspoon of the ground cloves and drip water onto it until it becomes slightly paste like. (You are going to use this to pack it.)
If your child can smell the Clove Oil, he/she will be thrashing about before you even apply. Get your spouse or some other adult to help you.
Drop 2 drops on his tooth. Try to get the drops in the exposed hole if there is any. Wait 1 minute.
Drop 2 more. Wait 1 minute.
Pack the tooth and the gums around it in ground cloves. Don't let the child touch it with a tongue. Wait 5 minutes, then have the child rinse their mouth with Listerene, or some other highly antiseptic mouth wash. Nothing like Act, that's for pussies.
Just to let you know, this will probably kill the tooth's root. It did to mine.
