I'm having a baby and it's looking like its a boy. I don't want to circumcise and my partner does. Personally, I prefer uncut, but, ultimately I believe the choice should be left to the individual who has to live with the alteration.

I would be upset if my labia and/or clitoral hood, or my earlobes for that matter, were removed without my consent.

I think it doesn't matter in the big scheme of things. I see this kind of thing all the time and when you are first attracted to someone, you don't judge them by what they have under their clothes, do you? I really dont think it would make any difference at all... other than the way it looks.

Easier cleaning and less chance of bacterial infections for cut guys.. so medically it is better. But if I left until I was 18 to make the choice, there's no way in hell i'd want some guy touching my dick, let alone snipping at it.

I love how people seem to think cleaning an un-cut unit is a very difficult task and that bacteria is this huge problem

It amazes me that in modern times people actually believe that bullshit. But then it is the US we're talking about for the most part. In most of Europe and especially the UK mutilation for the sake of old wives tales has more or less stopped.

For those confused - the foreskin DOES pull back unless you have a medical condition (VERY rare in adults. Children with it usually grow out of it). This means that it can be just as clean, shapely, whatever as any cut cock.

The medical view is that there is no difference , other than an increased likelyhood of infection immediatly after circumcision.

The confusion comes from the term "clean" used in religion. Muslims dont eat pork because it isnt "clean" , but it means nothing about the actual cleanliness of the meat. A cow burger sitting in a pile of mud is "clean" to a muslim, but a sanitized pork chop is dirty.
