taking screenshots of webpages
Anyone know of a program or script that will take screenshots of webpages? I'm looking for something that is pretty automatic not like Snag it.
|
print screen?
|
What do you mean by automatic? If you mean simple, then it doesn't get any more simple than Ctrl-PrintScreen, Ctrl-V :Graucho
|
well, there are sites out there that after you submit your site, they capture screenshot of your site. Alexa also has screenshots of sites. I'm guessing that someone probably isn't manually doing printscreen shots.

The only fully automated solution I've seen is a horrible hack of XWindows (unix) and Mozilla. It's possible there is something like this for Windows.

look for a prog called IESnap..
haven't used it in a while, but it did full screenshots of entire pages.. including the stuff not in view on scrolling pages. |
IESnap looks pretty neat.
They have another product called WebPageSnapshot that looks more promising. http://www.tonec.com/products/wssh/ |
chech out a program called solid capture. :thumbsup :thumbsup
|
Nevermind. WebPageSnapshot was just a bunch of dll's.

Printscreen sounds good. I'm going to use that for all my screenshots and build my webpages with notepad. And, all of my browsing will be done using Lynx.
