Thousands of Florida Ballots Missing in the County With the Most Democrat Voters
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6346293/
Broward deputy supervisor of elections Gisela Salas said 60,000 absentee ballots, accounting for just over 5 percent of the electorate in the county north of Miami, were sent out between Oct. 7 and Oct. 8 to voters who would not be in town on election day. While some had begun to be delivered, her office had been inundated with calls from anxious voters who still had not received their ballots. ?It?s really inexplicable at this point in time and the matter is under investigation by law enforcement,? Salas told Reuters. ************ Need I remind you, Broward has easily the most Democrat voters in all of Florida, by far. In fact, without a heavy Broward turnout, Kerry can forget about Florida for sure. |
I wonder if Jeb Bush will have them all completed by election day
|
If there is even a sniff of hanky-panky in Florida we are going to have a full-blown constitutional crisis on our hands come November 3....................
and not to mention wide-spread rioting & violence........ |
I wonder if the ppl of Broward will be getting them in the mail again? Jeb, can you tell us?
|
Is anyone surprised? :glugglug

Gotta love cheating, Vote Kerry!

5% of the electorate do not need absentee ballots. This ballots a taken by people willing to cheat the system. They don't all return because some cheaters don't go thru with it and others take more ballots than they think they can cheat with. |

nice...dont stray from your usual comments you might catch someone by suprise one day..lol |

60,000 absentee ballots disappearing somewhere in between the elections office and people's mailbox = ???? |
I love the riot theories.

Has an election ever been this chaotic this early in the process? I think next week could get a bit ugly.

Bush sadly will win a close election, based on the polling which basically has him in slim leads everytime.........he will win Florida in another close count.............there will be controversy............there will be rioting..............there will be violence.............again we will have a president seen by a great deal of Americans as an illegitimate president, an "un-president." Don't believe it? Watch it unfold next week. |

Here's another. Undecideds go 2/3 to the challenger usually. Here's 1 more. Kerry will win by more than a slim margin as I predicted before the debates. Wheeeeeeeeeeeeee |

There has already been a lot of vandalism to Bush/Cheney headquarters.
Edwards whale of a wife has inferred in a statment that if they don't win people should riot. If it comes down to Florida, there will be some riots. |
As long as there is a Bush in office in Florida, G Bush will win there no matter what!

I think it's funny people think something lost in the US Mail is a vast right wing conspiracy. Happens all the time for me and has for decades. When I lived in the burbs, we used to meet in the cul de sac once a week to trade misdelivered mail.

Here we go again, I guess 4 more years :(

People have been complaining they didn't receive their ballots as requested by them. Broward is very pro-Democrat. Without Broward, Kerry can't even begin to hope to win Florida. Not that I think he will. I predict Bush will win Florida and the election in a close one, as much as I hate to say it. The lawyers will get involved and stir things up..........and there will be a crisis and violence, with Bush/Gollum looking on and every once in awhile, shreaking like the chimp he is. |

After the depression they polled people by phones and it showed Eisenhower was going to LOSE in a landslide, but because most people couldnt afford phones at the time, the results were totally the opposite. This very well could be repeated this year. |

I understand the mail isn't perfect but 60,000 missing pieces of mail... I hate living in a state that can't manage to vote like the other 49. :feels-hot |

Glad I didn't request one as I am in Broward.. I thought it would be better than voting at a place I can't even say.. Casa del something or other is the place where I cast my vote for the US elections.... sad IMO
We need Jeb to take a hike! It's just too funny that since family runs Florida we can't manage a straight up election. They are still "finding" things from 2000. Anyone know the exchange rate for the Bahamas or Mexico maybe?? I can't see any way this won't turn into another nightmare for Florida. We couldn't manage "hanging chads" how the fuck are these people going to handle a video game now. The average age for a pole official is 75 I'm sure none of them have any "memory" issues and they all are experts with computerized voting (grumble grumble). I'll cast my vote and come home and pray it gets counted. Even though I doubt it will matter much here. Welcome to the Sunshine state, Please turn in your voter registration cards here. (see shredder) :feels-hot :BangBang: :ak47: :321GFY  |
I'm hoping for riots and the shooting of rioters.
that many less liberals next election.:1orglaugh |

People will be able to clip some tree huggers for free that day. |
What still amazes me is the amount of people who think this election will be a 'nail biter'.
There will be a clear winner, known the night of the election. If you still believe these poll results being broadcast on TV you are living in a vacuum. This will not be a close election! -dd |
My girlfriend and I are two of the 58,000.
I requested my absentee ballot at the end of September. I was told at that point it would be mailed out on Oct. 11. I waited until Oct. 18, and then tried to call about it. The phone was constantly busy. So I used the online email form that is provided on the SOE website. I still haven't gotten a reply from that. On Oct. 20 I called again and finally got someone on the line. I was told my ballot went out on either Oct. 18 or 19, but that it definitely went out. Finally, on Oct 26, I decided to just go and do the early voting. So, I stood in line for 90 minutes and cast my ballot. The woman working at the poll said the computer showed my absentee getting mailed on Oct. 22. It is the 28th now and it still hasn't arrived. I know of 5 other people that this has happened to. Sad. Now, I'm just gonna sit here and see what arrives first: my absentee ballot or my ibill check. Anyone want to wager? |
How long does it take for the ballots to be counted?

:1orglaugh You're a classic. |
I'm reluctant to believe that this isn't just BS. There are pamphlets going around instructing democrat voters on how to "pre-emptively" cry vote fraud.
