the more i talk to people in this biz who are going to vote for Bush i am very puzzled. those new 2257 regulations weren't just something Ashhahahahaha came up with cuz he was bored one day. he knows he can't get obscenity convictions in most venues in the United States - the new 2257 regs are the backdoor way to throw pornographers in jail without having to deal with community standards of modern America. i guarantee you that not 1% of webmasters are in full compliance now. And the sentencing i believe on this is mandatory, so some liberal minded judge isn't going to be able to save anybody's ass with a lighter sentence like probation and community service. it's FIVE years in jail - for some sloppy paperwork connected to your adult websites.

The Department of Homeland Security will be enforcing 2257. I think Ashhahahahaha is going to lay waste to people in this biz.

Its already happening around the world.

If they go after obscenity it because a first amendment issue.

Play your cards right and you can even become a "celebrity." Look at Larry Flynt's history.

Sure it can cost you a ton of money to defend such a thing, but you might even be able to get some help from the ACLU etc.

Anyway, I've always likened all this to the way the Feds took down Al Capone.

They couldn't get him on real crimes like murder etc.

They got him for Tax evasion.
