Yea it getting worse day by the day, but you look past it and if you use the a car you have no choice but to pay.

pornguy 10-27-2004 11:50 AM

The sad thing is that we will most likely never see the price of gas fall below 1.85 again anywhere in the us.

eroswebmaster 10-27-2004 11:52 AM

Get used to it, gas will never be cheap again. China and India are now the fastest growing economies in the world and will consume more and more oil. Demand goes way up, prices go way up...

I think we have gotten spoiled . . . gasoline has always been a lot more expensive than that in Europe . . . . I'd be happy to see it hit $2 again

Warden 10-27-2004 12:28 PM

Of course...but the main difference between us and Europe is how we've been pushed into this system of dependence on cars.

Most cities don't have decent transit systems. Vegas does...it runs 24 hours a day anywhere and everywhere because of all the casino workers.

But you get into places like Fort Worth and Dallas it can be a 1-2 hour trip just to get across town.

Even in LA back in the day, it took me over 2 hours to get from Long Beach to Venice Beach starting at 2 in the morning...so I could be on the set by 6 am.

Leave at 2 AM and it took 2 hours to get from Long Beach to Venice? What were you doing? walking along the beach? Half hour drive if you used the freeway, if you took surfact streets, maybe an hour depending on where in Long Beach you started from.

foolio 10-27-2004 09:45 PM

2.18? Fuck man - I would kill for 2.18. San Diego has the higest average in the nation -- I pay now $2.48 for the cheap shit in the cheapest no-name shit place around here.

:321GFY

wedouglas 10-27-2004 10:28 PM

Wow, I gotta go with baddog on this one. I've been to OC twice in the last few days and it was only an hour in the carpool lane to Irvine during rush hour for MNF.

pornguy 10-28-2004 12:17 AM

Try San Diego prices. Over 2.50

Bush's fault! Bush sucks!!!

asuna 10-28-2004 12:28 AM

I wonder how much it would cost to get some iraqi gas shipped over to my house... buy 200gallons at a time

shima 10-28-2004 12:44 AM

Now you face the consequences of that stupid and needless war in Iraq. Bush makes money, his daddy definitely does.

0.06gallon? How about "per liter" for a gas in Iraq. So you expect it to be 0.08 in States then?
Gas prices are being dictated by your own oil companies, who simply do not give a shit. There is a crisis, so prices go up. And war only makes them higher and higher because companies affraid of threads. The higher the threads - the higher the gas prices will be.

Guess what - Arabian nations already offered to produce more oil. Did they get a positive answer? Nope. Why? Because someone is making BIG BUCKS off your asses thats why.

So, do we, Europeans, beleive that your president fights a war for oil? Yes we fucking do! And because of his fucking monkey ass world prices are going up while you get the "Fight the terrorism" shit on CNN everyday. :warning

gage 10-28-2004 12:49 AM

~$2.40 in Arizona i've been paying since last summer give or take a few pennies

~2.00 in South Dakota

shima 10-28-2004 12:51 AM

Prices over 2.50 are insane.
When I was in States in 2002, I paid $1.40 or something and thought thats too damn much at that time..

Shoehorn! 10-28-2004 12:56 AM

I'd happily pay $2.18 for gas (and I will when I come back to Michigan in December). I bought gas today and it was $2.32.

naitirps 10-28-2004 12:57 AM

bout 2.50$ for 91 in LA
