Make Sure Your Sites Are Cross Platform Complient

I just read Mozilla / Firefox browser useage has soared up to 18% and Opera is around 1%.

Good idea to test how your sites look and function in all the major browsers now as IE's market share is continuing to erode rapidly.

I used to only use IE and had to reluctantly force myself to test sites in Netscape (~20% of the market back then). Now I only use Firefox and have to reluctantly test sites in IE (~80% of the market). Go figure.

I agree, now I test my sites with some browsers

Mozilla is definitely becoming a more popular alternative to the highly-insecure IE.. More and more net-saavy people are using it, so it's a good idea to test with it too :)

my stats show 4% are mozilla and 5% are firefox - not enough for me to go redesigning

Someone at Microsoft is about to lose their job.

I need to switch, tired of IE and its problems.

Spunky 10-27-2004 06:48 AM

Good idea..so many people don't realize it

Yeah a little bit.. but people dont seem to be too tied to their web browsers. Most people I have shown firefox have been pretty receptive to using it.

IE may be the standard.. but only because until recently there was no real alternative.
