I want to buy a new one for personal use, what can you suggest, price should be around 5-800$

It's a little higher than $800, but if you're willing to go that high, I'd just jump on a Canon Digital Rebel, that's the best you can get :thumbsup :thumbsup

OR are you looking for something smaller and simpler ?? If that's the case, get a Sony CyberShot DSC-WI, it's only $349.

I LOVE that site because they rate every single aspect of each camera. That's what I used to make my decision on the camera that I bought.

I strongly recommend "minolta dimage 7i", for about 1000$.

I have a steady shot DCR - TRV340 NTSC that works well.

depends on what your using it for - the professional ones used for DVD are a shitload of money (5000$plus start)
