The stats below reflect stats I sent to a single sponsor, to a single site. Tell me if this doesn't look funny.

Stats from Sept 1 - Sept 24
945 uniques sent, 7 sales $175 payout

Stat from Oct 1 - Oct 24
4216 uniques sent, 0 sales, $0 payout

(Had ratios been the same as from Sept 1 - Sept 24 the total payout for Oct 1 - Oct 24 would have been about $780, instead of $0)

*** Advetising methods stayed virtually the same during both time periods, as did primary traffic source (SE) ***

This is a less-promoted niche that has normally converted very well in the past, except I couldn't find a good PPS sponsor for it. When I do eventually did find a PPS sponsor with good payouts, initial tests were pretty good so I ended up switching most of my traffic for this niche to this sponsor's site.

I am contacting the sponsor in question to get their response.
Depending on the explanation I get, I may or may not say who :)

Is it a big guy or a small fry? Who is/was the processor?

Many pps programs regardless what fuckin software you think they use SAHVE and if you think it wont get worse wait and see

They join a PPS program, within 100 hits they get a sale they go wild and start promoting it all over and NADA LOL and if you think they will get paid for that single sale nah there is a min. payout lol

Careful who you trust in these days some who enevr thought they will have to shave all of a sudden are figuring out they must some just close shop.

joined a new program, got 1/200 right off
the bat, so did several other webmasters
i know that were promoting them (hmm!)
and now NOTHING!!!!! :helpme

We use the 3rd party auditing from Click Truth to make sure that all traffic is tracked.. More people should step up and use something like this to prove they are paying their webmasters for every sale sent..

If I had more of that specific type of traffic I would send more, but I don't think I do ;)

Now I don't think I can give away more details without saying which sponsor it was.

Am I the only one who thinks it odd that from one month to the next your traffic quadrupled....yet you claim its from the same source as the 1st pay period?

The same thing is happening to me right now with a very well known sponsor - month of September I did 1:140 for about 150 sales, First two weeks of October were consistent, second two weeks of October are at 1:2000 and worse.

Exact same source of filtered SE traffic at exactly the same levels.

If you've ever done any successful search engine work before you would know that dramatic changes in SE rankings can have dramatic changes in the traffic that you receive!

I do admit it was wrong of my to quickly cry "shaving" because of my numbers - but something undoubtedly did go wrong somewhere, and not on my end.

I know Kush, his stuff and his traffic and I also know that those numbers can not be for real.
I have sponsor that I send THE SAME amount of hits and sales every month for years now. Such drastic changes in conversions just don't happen unless you're being ddosed, or down or whatever

I reall had a bad day because of my early morning shaving which caused two cuts in my lower jaw. man, that hurts!!!!!

I'm suspicious about some programs too lately ... I'l send a good more 10 thousand hits before I make my conclusion thought .

I'm convinced after a recent chat I had with a veteran webmaster that soon we're gonna reach a period that it won't be a question any more on how well you convert, but how many sales you get credited for.

Shaving would be more complicated then that, i would make sure not to shave any signups coming in from the state where the webmaster lives

If the traffic is the same then there is no way it should suddnely stop converting. Write them an email and tell them that until it goes back to what it was, it's goodbye.

Could of been that they had a glitch and did not read your code on the sign ups.

When I thought about expanding our Internet sales it made sense for us to repeat what we were already doing, selling via content brokers.

After meeting a bunch of them in Vegas at the show I got the distinct impression that we would be better off doing sales ourselves.

Did go with one big broker, on 15 sets we gave him he sent us $75, told us he did not have enough of our content to make an impact. :321GFY
