Windows HELP Needed - Everything has disappeard - no start no icons
 

On one of comps that is running windows XP home edition all the icons and start menu have just disappeared...

All I see is the desktop wallpaper and to open a program i have to alt+ctrl+del and choose file open then browse for it.

Whats wrong with it?

in the task manager, choose File, then "new task" and type explorer.exe

This happened cause windows explorer crashed.

nothing happens :(

remove the recent shit you installed and make it so it doesnt run on startup

reboot into safe mode , and try to do a system restore

thats a prob with system pack 2...

thanks for replies... she went in safemode and did system restore, working fine now.

shake it like an etch-a-sketch and pour holy water on it
