FACT: Americans have no choice in the presidential elections.
Its either Bush or Kerry, and neither of them are "great" men or leaders. Not much choice in such a "free" country. Two party system and the fact that a third party guy cant even get on the ballot in a lot of states will be this country's downfall in the long run.

Ok if you say so...

Go Bush! Let's hope he loses.

We need the oil and a presence in the Middle East. We had that no fly BS going on for years. It could not continue that way. Iraq needed to be a sovereign nation. As for timing; if you remember summer was approaching fast. Waiting would have been harder on the troops. Mistakes, hell yes!! We needed that northern front. We needed more troops. We needed more equipment. Kerry would have sat with his thumb up his ass while sucking up to our ?friends? the French?. |
he has a point...choosing from basically 2 guys isn't much of a choice...i guess it's always gonna be like that though...
|
Vote Kerry :glugglug

Why don't you go research Bush's inconsistencies and come back and praise his ass. And since you mention what Kerry has done for the past 20 years, what exactly has Bush done? The man is a puppet, get that through your head. |

Until 3rd parties start playing in the same league as republicans and Democrats they'll never get more then 1% of the vote. 3rd party candidates are bush league, eccentric billionaires (ross perot) who have nothing better to do then run for president. |
I am not against War in the right circumstances, so don't get me wrong on that aspect of it. But what I AM against is the way in which Bush went about it. He went at it like a bully would..... go crashing in and not give one bit of thought to anything but what HE wants to happen. I am all for this IF it was done right and it wasn't. Kerry even stated this, he was for it, IF it was done right, and it wasn't.
I completely agree with Saddam having to go and several of the other issues, BUT I don't think he went into this with much thought or preperation and it is screaming this everyday when we turn on the TV and see MORE have died..... he alienated anyone and everyone that showed any sort of rationalization to this and would have helped had he gone about it rationally.... but did he? HELL NO!!!! HE wants to control everything and everyone. He's every bit as much of a Terrorist as the terrorists themselves. The thing here that is really eating me about this all, is that he had a personal vendeta and nothing or no one was going to stop him.... THAT is what I am against and that's where I think he fucked up bigtime. You can't solve ANYTHING going at it like that...... |
Look at all the sheep talking about Bush and Kerry in a thread about a much deeper topic than 2 lame guys

The rise of the 3rd party has happened before in American politics, but what happens is that the voting body that would normally vote, lets say all Democrat, now is voting 50% Democrat and 50% Green Party - they are both pretty similar though. But the Republicans stay united with their 100% Every election that year would be won by Republicans because the split would be 50% Repub, 25% Dem, 25% Green. So the next year, the Greens and the Dems would pool their resources in order to get some like-minded people in office, and suddenly you are back to the two party system. Look up the Bull Moose Party for a great example of why 3rd parties would never fly in this country under the current voting system. baaa |
maybe Zell Miller can bring back the dixiecrats. :winkwink:
