X Pays New Patent?

Who knows more about this X Pays patent? I heard they were going to be the next Acacia. Now, this is what I have heard so I am interested in hearing exactly what their patent is. Are they going to be suing Dollars.com?

FreeHugeMovies 10-24-2004 09:10 PM

Bump

FreeHugeMovies 10-25-2004 08:29 AM

Sorry for making a GOOD post.

So you should be!

AFAIK many sites existed prior to their filing date, so, if this patent is ever challanged there is a good chance of defeat.

I'm no expect but that is my :2 cents:

brand0n 10-25-2004 08:34 AM

bump for michael :winkwink:

FreeHugeMovies 10-25-2004 08:37 AM

I would think Rick L would comment on this or maybe he plans on settling.

no

pradaboy 10-25-2004 08:43 AM

bump for you, what's this patent about?

slapass 10-25-2004 08:44 AM

I hope it is not for the crappy stats they have. They have my vote for worst affiliate stats.

I won't be commenting other to say that we are not being sued and we are in communication with them and hope to work out a mutual benificial partnership.

You can ask additional questions if you'd like but it's unlikely you'll get another response.

xclusive 10-25-2004 08:45 AM

Xpays patent will never hold up but they are a good company...

Braincash Fred 10-25-2004 08:46 AM

I think dollars.com is directly targeted by the patend. But the adult commmunity is quite good at regulating themself so and I'm sure that if xpays try to put pressure on others with their patent, they will shot themslef in their foot since people will start to be agains't them and move their traffic elsewhere....

FreeHugeMovies 10-25-2004 08:49 AM

Here is a link to the patent.

http://appft1.uspto.gov/netacgi/nph-...ate+pooling%22

From what I understand companies like dollars.com and realbigcash.com or in violation of the Xpay patent.

This is why I am posting to try to get a better understanding of this patent.

Far-L 10-25-2004 08:51 AM

Their patent and their intentions are nothing remotely like Acacia's.

The IMPA intends to produce a "white paper" on it that will help explain it and give companies a better idea if they infringe it or not.

you can flip the script and say "others make money off of XPays hard work". that is how an inventor looks at a situation where their patent is being infringed.

We have searched extensively for years and years and have not seen any prior art. That includes the lists of companies webmasters suggested in a previous thread that shap started. Either those companies models are/were different or our invention date pre-dates them.

jewcash 10-25-2004 01:08 PM

any love yet evan?

FreeHugeMovies 10-25-2004 01:09 PM

I wonder how many ppl are going to pull their links over this. How long ago was Comission Junction established?

johnny1 10-25-2004 01:12 PM

I wouldnt worry to much

They should pull their links to TripleXCash due to the way you are promoting them in this thread.

nonetheless- I have always liked the triplexcash owners and their sites look phat so as you can see I am just devil's advocating here.

If you are asking questions and curious it seems insincere based on your negativity in your posts.

Good suggestion for those concerned. Our patent is novel and does not affect more than a handful of companies in adult.

I am asking questions to things I am hearing on ICQ and things I have heard in person. If Acacia had paysites don't you think webmasters would of pulled their links?

It appears your comments are more reflexive than inquisitive. Comparing our patent to Acacia is insulting, considering we actually invented our technology and use it commercially. Also, we did not sit on the patent and then spring it there (submarine patent style) years later across a whole range of industries. Please email me your icq logs or post them here. So you are saying webmasters should pull their links from any company awarded a legitimate patent?

Again, being reflexive is not imho fair to us but you are entitled to formulate your opinion and change it as you discover the truth.

Nathan 10-25-2004 06:04 PM

XPays, can you with your own words explain what your "invention" is? Since the patent is a bunch of legal jargon shit :)

To me it just sounds like a standard Commission Junction like thing.

So CJ has licensed your "invention"?

Or are they different?

media 10-25-2004 06:12 PM

Hey Evan,

Wish we could have hooked up at the party!! Missed ya!! Anyways, hope the phone convention went well for you and your clients...

Anyways man! TTYL

Please do not ask me about particular companies as I will not answer any such questions at this time. You are welcome to call me or email any questions and I will do the best I can to answer them or have our counsel answer them.

And by the way Nathan- our invention does not need your snotty quotes around it. The patent is issued and is a matter of fact.

sextoyking 10-25-2004 06:35 PM

Guys and Gals why do you feed the troll? Ah, I mean Evan :)

He has a history in our industry of sending cease and desist letters to fellow webmasters. This fact he can't deny at all.

Always watch your back.

It's well known that the patent office will issue a patent for a ham sandwich with mayo. The question is will it stand up in court upon challenge. I've seen things about this patent off an on for a while now and never bothered to look and see exactly what you're laying claim to.

Care to enlighten us?

Hi Bernard,

Long time no speak. Funny sound on your banners here LOL. Anyway, I have to be careful what I say here because I could end up pigeonholed, so the best way to start grasping our patent is to read it:

http://patft.uspto.gov/netacgi/nph-P...number=6804660

http://essociate.com/patents/US6804660.pdf

We will discuss more details at an appropriate time and we do look forward that time as well.

sextoyking 10-25-2004 07:02 PM

I need a straight Man Evan?? hmm my loving wife will do..

I never brang up sexual orientation into this thread. I could care less if your gay or not.

My point is, you have fucked with and had your lawyers go after webmasters in the past.

People must know the truth :)

Shalom

if you want to dig up the thread shap started about our patent issuance a week ago-ish, FightThisPatent and many others discussed their opinions at length. A prudent strategy calls for letting the patent speak for itself right now. It is published.

sextoyking 10-25-2004 07:07 PM

Evan,

this is all about you man. See the newer webmasters might not know about your rep or anything. You might come to gfy and play coolio and all that bull shit, but us old timers know exactly what your all about.
