Wanna have some fun with ebay sellers that steal images?

everyone here with some spare time create a user id on ebay...use a fake address though..

then when you see someone selling stolen copyrighted images on cd's...bid something like $5000 and let it ride...just let the auction end, but when they request payment let them know they are busted for selling stolen material, and if they report it anywhere you will also report it that they are selling these stolen pics

their ebay fees will skyrocket because of all the fees they have to pay on the $5000 sales they got, and they will be up shits creek, cause they can't report you because you will report them...so in the end, they are FUCKED

TheMob 10-24-2004 03:49 PM

Alright, Kindergarten is out in 15 minutes, pack up your stuff.

Basic_man 10-24-2004 03:50 PM

no, it's like a drug dealer taking you to court because you bought his stuff through a middle man, whom he now has to pay a commission to even though you didn't pay him and tell him you'd report him to the police if he didn't pay up.

but seriously, i'm just trying to say that there's nothing you can do. and even if you manage to get rid of a few stealing assholes on ebay, are you going to tackle kaazza next? spend your time on making more money, not worrying about someone else making 5 bucks here and there (that you wouldn't make anyway).

how about you spend less time worrying how I spend my time.....besides, i don't work much on the weekends and this is fun for me....and I would expect someone else in this industry would be happy to see someone fucking with these people...but it almost seems as though you are deterring me from even starting something like this

I have probably had more ebay illegal photo sellers shut down than you will ever know.,..and imagine this, i have done it AND make my money at the same time...WOW!!!! someone is a multi-tasker???? amazing!!!!

there are ways of getting assholes like this shut down and makking money at the same time....sorry you can't comprehend the notion of working two angles

a drug dealer IS a middle man...unless your drug dealer is comparable to pablo escobar

Don't you need to put valid bank info on your account in order to setup a new one?

you know nothing about ebay, lol

First - just because you bid 5,000 on it does not mean it will go for 5,000.

Second - they can file a NPB on you and they do not have to pay fees on it.

Third, they can do a second chance offer to the next real bidder and still make thier money.

all you will be doing with your great idea is wasting your time. there are other, more direct ways of taking care of them

GonZo 10-24-2004 04:44 PM

Sounds to me like some of you might be scamming images from Jace for Ebay or someone else.....

Yeah, but what he's saying is that when eBay contacts him/ (the bidder) as to why he didn't pay, he could reply telling them that the content is stolen.

But I don't see why he just doesn't contact eBay right away.

because their process tkes upwards of 2 weeks, i have done it before....last time it took almost 3 week...and the seller has a chance to sell tons more before it is all said and done
