I just opened my email (an account that I only use for my ADULT dealings ... I have NEVER used the address to sign up for anything on the web ... okay, maybe a subscription to AVN Online ...)

The following Email leads me to believe one of two things ...

1) Either MAINSTREAM companies are grabbing PORN site Email Addresses

or

2) Somebody amongst us is selling our email addresses to others ... If this is you ... SHAME ON YOU !!!

I get enough adult-related spam (from some of the LARGER companies in the business too ... I guess they figure since they are so big, we will overlook the fact that this is still spam ?!?), but I learned years ago that the best way to control spam, is to not use your primary email address when signing up for anything ...

OK, I understand when someone sends spam about his porn, mp3 or any underground site, or when he sells something for everyday use, but this?? I wonder what's the response ratio on these things.. Who the hell would buy "over 500 tons of heating wires" online?

I got a spam one day for rental use of two gigantic generators, each mounted on a barge, capable of powering an entire coal-mine...

What do you think the response ratio was for that one? I don't think their marketing guru knew what "targetted traffic" meant.
