Setting up a wireless connection between a laptop & router?

How would I go about doing this?
Do I need to have a wireless router or is there an adapter I can plug into my wired router?
I hate setting up networks

Thanks for the help.

So I'm guessing an adapter like the one I would like does not exist?

Without a "TRUE" wireless router you'll have to run your wifi network in ADHOC mode, which means computers connect to computers instead of to the WIFI AP.

Some WIFI cards come with a SoftRouter which is basically sftware to emulate an Access Point.
