CleanerXL: produces crappy movies? Need help..
 

Im trying the CleanerXL demo and the quality of wmv and mpg movies are horrible.. compared to what I get with cleaner5 .. Even if I set the bitrate at like 1500..

If you can produce good wmv and mpg movies.. what are your settings?

As an exemple, for wmv movies... I can either start with File>NewJob or File>NewJobFromTemplate . Then in the OutputProfile. I select 1mbit LAN .. In the EncoderSetting I crank up the mbits to 1500.. and still get a crappy movie.... wtf ?

Give me a few minutes and I will just upload my profiles for you to download and use. I'll send you a link on ICQ.

BTW.....Are you familiar with the term "Garbage in, garbage out?"

The only time I get lower quality encodes at such a high bitrate is when the lighting in the video is not very good.

no.. but thats interesting.. the video is a dvd rip and not the highest quality.. Ill test another vid and see..

OK. I'm sending you a 1200kbps wmv profile that I use for fuill screen DRM encrypted videos and a 1500kbps mpeg profile that I use to deliver content to clients for them to re-encode as needed.

The wmv's are tricky to get dialed in right. You will notice I use WMA 9 combined with WMV 8. That gives me the best results based on all the testing I have done.

Aaron, can you shoot me a copy of your WMV filter to joel at teeniesxxx.com? For some reason when I try to edit my profiles Cleaner crashes, maybe I'll have better luck with yours? I really need to format.
