How long does it take...

You guys who sign up as affiliates take to do anything...

I mean even just add links to FHG... I know that if you're going to download pics and vids to make your own galleries this can take a week or two but I'm just wondering :)

1 to 3 years, i usually just sign up to shit for the free content.. saves money on memberships.

I've had some progs I signed up for that for whatever reason I never got around to implementing on a permenant basis.

But I've been at this game for such a long time that you get thrown so many opportunities every day to market progs of all kinds that you just can't physically have time to do them all.

A lot of people sign up for things and then never market them.

The last people who did that to me ended up as:

a) One had all his sites at Net Verifier removed and his re-bills passed on to me.

b) Another webmaster used my material with my sites name spammed across them to sell his own pay site. The result was that both CCBill and IBill closed him for two weeks over last Xmas and New Year... He had over 100 galleries with stolen material...

You all get caught eventually and it costs you plenty...

KRL... Thanks for a serious answer. I've had a few sign up and when looking at their sites, they had nothing there that could possibly relate to my specific niche, so I had a feeling they just signed up in case :)

I also get dumb surfers signing up but I don't give any affiliates the promotion url until I'm happy they're legit... I've upset one or two legit webmasters with my reply, if I think they're time wastersbut it's always been sorted out in the end :)

1. I may sign up to just be able to see what promo material a program offers since they lock it down. Many times they just will not work out so that account is useless. I really wish less programs did this, at very least let me see the dang FHG's that will be shared everywhere anyways.
2. When I sign up I often use the same url unless the program specifically asks for the url that will be sending the traffic. So this may throw off an owner looking at my account. I admit I am a wee bit lazy when signing up so I use a form fill.
3. I sign up sometimes for projects I still have in development. If I am building a new tgp for example, I will grab the FHG's and such, yet you may not see traffic for some time still as I am busy filling up my FHG database.
4. Accounts require human authorization. Sometimes either it fails on the program's end, or I loose the authorization in my email a day to a few weeks later. One sure fire killer for me is human authorization that takes longer than 24 hours Mon-Thur.
5. The promo material just plan sucks quality wise.
