Amazing eBay Stat

430,000 people make a full time living by selling stuff on eBay.

Spunky 10-21-2004 06:52 AM

Some people are making a pretty damn good living at it also

Steve_NCH 10-21-2004 06:52 AM

The mind boggles as to how much Ebay turnover in a year.

While the number is huge I doubt it's $430,000. Many of those mainstream tards think making $150 a week is a "full time living".

Just selling collectors' stuff or even readily available stuff?

kenny 10-21-2004 07:05 AM

I knew a guy who did that with antiques and made a decent living.

I don't know how much money he made exactly, but he could afford to have two homes built at the same time, etc.

devilspost 10-21-2004 07:05 AM

430,000 people

No, his market died. Things get oversaturated fast. I can still sling $20,000 a month of 1 item on there but I hate it with a passion.

Ebay is fucking huge.

They pull nine figures a month just from those small auction fees.

$300 million/month I believe.

I remember watching something about it not to long ago.

i imagine it has put more than 430,000 out of business also.

Factories are putting stuff on there at virtually cost price, so this must have a dramatic effect on online retail sales.

As most americans dont mind buying online (ebay) there is no reason for them to go to the store or buy from and online retail store.

big damage on the retail sector.
