Fuck Bush! Fuck Kerry! Vote Nader!

If you want to vote for a candidate that is for ending the
occupation of Iraq, living wage for American workers, repealing the
Patriot Act, and holding corporate criminals accountable, I suggest
Ralph Nader. If you want a candidate that is for continuing the war,
strengthening or keeping the Patriot Act, leaving minimum wage where
it is or instituting a tiny increase, and letting corporate CEOs do
as they please, then either Bush or Kerry will work.

I just got back from voting for Nader/Camejo for President. I also voted NO to Proposition 1 and YES to Propositions 2 & 3. I also voted for May Walker for Harris County Constable Precinct 7. I voted for some Republicans, some Democrats, and some Independents. If a candidate did not have an opponent, I did not give them my vote.

its a MUST that Bush not lead this country for
another 4 years........and if you vote for Nader, you
are just, basically, voting FOR bush (its voting
against Kerry).

this election race is far to close. i bet if nader
wasnt even on the ballots, that kerry would
be leading EVERY poll out there.

Vote Kerry!!! :2 cents:

You should have just written your vote on the back of a McDonald's cheeseburger wrapper and then tossed it out the window as you drove really fast by your polling place. It would have gotten you the same result.

nader is a tool thanks. Rupert Murdock (the owner of fox news) gives him millions for his campaign.

So is it better to basically throw your vote away on someone who has NO chance at winning and not trying to get the lesser of two evils in office? I will never understand the logic behind that.

TurboTrucker 10-21-2004 01:51 AM

Voting for the lesser of two evils is throwing your vote away. I can't understand the logic of sacrificing your self integrity for the sake of popularity - it's the definition of a sheep.

I'm voting for someone that I don't view as evil, someone that is on the ballot in 48 states, someone that has views similar to mine. And it isn't fucking Nader, Bush, or Kerry.

nader has conceded he cant win a single state, so your guy is worse off than him (although someone i would probably prefer to have as a president than the two dummies we get to choose from, ill grant you that). Bush or Kerry (hopefully the latter) IS going to win this election. FACT.

I have voted third party all of my life, because im tired of choosing between a shit sandwich and shit soup every four years. BUT - i am putting my idealism aside this time around because Bush has GOT to GO. I have ALWAYS voted third party - but i want to get the fuck rid of bush this year.

Stamen 10-21-2004 02:45 AM

I would vote for a third party candidate, but not Nader.

We'll see in 2008, already voted for Kerry this time around.

webmaster x 10-21-2004 02:47 AM

Fuck that... Im voting LIBERTARIAN.

nmcog 10-21-2004 05:20 AM

Isn't Ralph Nader an Arab?

nmcog 10-21-2004 05:22 AM

Well, obviously born in US otherwise he can't be president, etc.

Danny_C 10-21-2004 07:27 AM

Yeah, there's no logic behind voting for the person you'd most like to see become president. It's stupid.

The best thing for this country is to continue voting one of the two duopoly candidates who are both bought and sold by the same corporations, and agree on most issues.

Vote for the lesser of two evils election after election, so that every election, they can both grow a little more evil. THAT is logic.

Why vote for a third party when all it will do is make the two parties think, "If only our policies were different, and we had some integrity, we could have had those votes." Why pressure the two parties into making changes, and adopting policies to win back those 3rd party voters? It makes NO sense!

scoreman 10-21-2004 08:20 AM

Danny_C you make good points, and without a shadow of doubt in my mind, I also am convinced both parties are corrupt and beholden to big business. That said however, this particular election is unusual in that the candidates are so dramatically opposite on so many issues. On issues such as abortion, stem cell research, taxation and who they would seek to get appointed to various judicial positions, Kerry and Bush could not be farther apart.

There is a reason why the Republican party and friends of the GOP want Nader on every ballot. Nader voters will not likely come from the ranks of those who would otherwise vote Bush and the more votes Nadar gets can only mean less votes for Kerry.

Danny_C 10-21-2004 08:40 AM

I didn't hear them debate NAFTA in the debates. Nothing about corporate crime (could have been a HUGE talking point for Kerry... he has ignored it). Nothing about poverty. These are three major issues that are very important to me. Why would I vote for either guy when neither represents me on these important issues?

patmccrotch 10-21-2004 08:55 AM

laf, you may as well say "VOTE BUSH" if all you stupid hippy dumb shits wouldn't waste your votes on a lost cause, Gore would probably be in the house right now. While I wouldn't say he was the best option, he would have done less damage.
