Who is getting the Flu Shot?
I think it's bullshit. I never get sick but once i got the shot and I got so fucked up by it.
I they're really pushing it too. FUCK THEM!!!! |
Ive never got a Flu shot
|
Nobody will be getting the flu shot.
There are no more to give. |
Never have!!!
Don't need it!!! The only people, I think, who should take a flu shot are people who have big health problems. Not just any healthy person who let the media put the fear in them!!! :glugglug |
i never get it a flu shot. i rarely ever get the flu
anyways. but even if i wanted to, i couldnt cuz im not over the age of 65 or preganant (and thats all they're giving the shots to in my town.) |
not me, never have and don't plan to start now
|
never gotten a flu shot in my life ppl that i know that got one always got sick
|
You can't even get it nowdays, they are only letting people who fit certain criterias.
|
Haven't got really sick in years now . I don't even remember the last time
|
I agree way overrated. I've never gotten a flu shot and don't think I will anytime soon. What the fuck did people do before flu shots? Why is it such a big deal that no one can get them this year?
|
nope don't need it
|
For preventive measures against flu and cold you need to eat a piece of fresh garlic once in a while.

Never got one, I'm scared of needles... I haven't been to the
doctor for a long time and need to get a blood test for the check up and I'm scared... I don't like needles sucking up tons of blood from my veins :( |
I never understand, flu never bothers me why get a fucking shot.
|
I got it. I live in Canada though so anyone can get one for free. They highly recommend it for certain people like those in childcare, teachers, healthcare workers, elderly etc.
I always got one because I worked in a lab and had people breathing all over me and giving me their germs. I stopped for a couple years after I left the lab but then I got the flu so bad it knocked me on my ass for 4 days and I couldn't even get out of bed. Now mind you it is rare to let anything get the best of me. I have torn all the ligements in my knee and gone to work on it without crutches (ok, a few pain killers took the edge off). I will never forget that flu and if a simple shot might prevent me from getting anything like that again then I'll be the first in line. |
Pass... I haven't had one in at least 20 years, no reason to start now.
|
I got the flu shot. The doc actually told me to get it.

Flu shots work mostly for old folks and children/kids who don't have a strong immune system.
I have no plans in getting one. |
Then don't want to see anyone in this thread posting later on:
"Man..I've got a bad case of the flu!" :) |
Your body can fight it off if you're heathly. By getting the shot you're just creating supperbugs!
|
Cant be arsed with it
Plus we dont have many shots left |
Never had one so far. Not sick in years.
Some believe that immune systems get lazy when antibodies are fitted with crutches (like mega doses of vitamins or artificial antibody stimulators). Healthy lifestyle ( with the exception of hanging out here :) ) and normal exposure the the urban mix of traditional and designer diseases (courtesy of medicine/hospitals) seems to do the trick for me. The idea that vaccinations work by creating a 'controlled blast' of the disease of the month to kick start your immune system never sat well with me. If you look at more extreme vaccinations like the one for Malaria and its disclaimers it does not help ease the mind. The flu shot does seem to have its place, but even for expecting moms and young children, it was recently determined that some of the flu shots have notable levels of mercury (part of the manufacturing process) and a weighted decision must be made on a case-by-case basis. |
I have some health problems that cause me big problems when I get sick. I have gotten the shot every year but one since my diagnosis. That year I got the flu and complications made me so sick there was concern about whether or not I'd need to be admitted to the hospital.
I stood in line about 10 days ago at a Costco with about 500 seniors to get my shot. I stood for 3 hours, to the point my legs were starting to change color from my circulation problems. At one point I was sitting on the floor, stretching to try to get the blood going in my legs again. It was really sad. We were stealing chairs out of furniture displays for sick seniors to have a place to sit. Believe me, I'd never wait if I wasn't afraid of the consequences of NOT getting a shot. It was too scary a few years ago when I got sick. And expensive, even with insurance. Copays are a killer. :) |
Didn't take any, my immune system is up to par. :winkwink:
