How do you deal with content providers

That say they give full 2257 and then you get blackened out model releases and ids. Your thoughts?

No its not , my wife did a photo shoot for photographer which bought by a magazine .The mag got full documents, once the model signs the release there are no privacy issues.

Because if 2257 changes this content will be useless.

Not a lawyer, but ya can't be publishing the name and address of every model all over the place. That is stupid!

Picture yourself in court armed with all the documents, and your lawyer expalining the risks involved. We have to get real somewhere.

Heard Asshat is on his way out either way, so I HOPE this will not be one of those stupid issues that someone gets screwed on.

Not so much a privacy issue to me as a saftey one. The orginal license holder obviously has all the information. I assume we are talking about reselling content here.

So if the government is so interested, the information can be tracked down fairly quick.

Have you read a model release? It releases the photographer/videographer from all liablity. If you sold photographs to playboy they would expect full docs nothing blacked out. I dont know its just confusing and scary. This busness is becoming less and less fun.
