if you found out today, that you only had 10 more quality years left

in your life. and after that, you'd be facing a bed-ridden life, with no real chance of leaving a small room for the remainder...

what would you change? or would you continue to live the same life you do today?

pornstar2pac 10-20-2004 10:49 AM

don't know

Juicy D. Links 10-20-2004 10:49 AM

cali_22 10-20-2004 10:49 AM

candyflip 10-20-2004 10:50 AM

I'd have to start moving on my list of "Things To Do".

I'd start with the Great White cage dive.

swedguy 10-20-2004 10:52 AM

I don't know the answer to that question. But I have a question for you ;)

You had place up in Whistler, right?

Is it possible to get Internet access up there?
I just found someone that was renting out a place for the whole season up there. Would be sweet to snowboard for that long, but it requires that I work some too :)

xclusive 10-20-2004 10:53 AM

I would make the most of my time with my family...

i have ultra high speed built into my project.

but you can get high speed anywhere in Whistler, as long as you can get cable there.

Serge Litehead 10-20-2004 10:55 AM

suicide thoughts are worst enemy in this condition with which you face daily.
things to do: lots of reading and writing.
surely life wont be the same like used to be before :2 cents:

ztik 10-20-2004 10:55 AM

I would quit work. And start having alot more fun. Prly sell off the house also. Travel around, see the world, ect..

yup hi speed and wireless on the hills

hershie 10-20-2004 10:56 AM

I would spend a few months at a time in almost every country in the world that interests me. I could communicate and do my work virtually over the Net anyway right now, and that would spur me forward to go completely virtual and travel continously.

Martin 10-20-2004 10:57 AM

In those ten years I would try to live as much as possible. Then I'd eat my gun.

Peace out.

and for sure make the most of my time with the family...

Peaches 10-20-2004 10:59 AM

I would travel as much as possible and contact everyone I'd lost contact with over the years so I could say goodbye.

kmanrox 10-20-2004 11:00 AM

that's a very tough question, and it's one that most ppl can't accurately say until it's actually put upon them i'd say..

- make hundreds of hours of video explaining and talking to my kids, teaching them everything i know, putting dates for when they should be shown the tapes etc (there's some movie this happens in, and i remember it being a great idea)

-move back home and spend more time with the family

-save a higher % of money to leave to my kids

-find everyone i've ever wanted to get even with and fuck them up

SmokeyTheBear 10-20-2004 11:02 AM

I suppose it depends on the circumstances.

first off, if you have 10 years today, in five years medicine evolves lots, so they might invent something better to make that time longer.

I wouldn't change a thing, All you can do is hope for the best prepare for the worst.

SmokeyTheBear 10-20-2004 11:03 AM

I almost forgot........

I wouls stop posting on gfy :1orglaugh

I was feeling very bad about how selfish my response was compared to yours, until I got to your last idea :)

M_M 10-20-2004 11:05 AM

Judging by all your recent posts, I have a feeling you don't know how to make your self happy. You don't know what to do with your life or money.

Is that so?

XxXotic 10-20-2004 11:07 AM

id keep doin what i was doin, death is inevitable, why let the eventuality of it affect how you live now?

my threads, in general, have fuck all to do with me personally.

KRL 10-20-2004 11:11 AM

I would allocate as much time as possible spending time with my son and teaching him everything I know and have learned in life.

I'm not saying this thread means you're gonna die in 10 years.

But i bet there is some sort of connection. You must be looking for some sort of advice. Some idea that you couldn't think of by yourself.

I'm not telling you like it's a bad thing. All of us have dull periods in our lives.

detoxed 10-20-2004 11:20 AM

I'd get loans with the first payment due in 10 years.

What if it were 5 years instead?

Herb Kornfield 10-20-2004 11:31 AM

Knowing that I have 10 years left is better than what any of us here have.

No guarentees of tommorrow.

I would just keep living life as I do now, enjoy each day we wake up to and live through......

more than any other family member that would be my focus as well...

couple it with Kman's concept of videos & dates...

I've already written a letter kept in a safe...but a few tapes would be an addition for sure if I knew a set time frame...

PhotoGreggXXX 10-20-2004 11:41 AM

Shoot content every day with wild naked women...hmmm, doing that anyway. I'm 50, been a good life, 10 more years would be a bonus :)

Doctors are on the corporate payroll.

They don't cure. They can't.

In a sense, it's a big no-no in thier industry and has been probably ever since someone figured out that you can make way more money treating people than you can curing them.

Whatever your problem is Quiet...

www.curezone.com might be a good place to start and look around. I'm sure you have the $$ to do whatever needs to be done, the question is do you have the will power?... or.. the will to live beyond 10 years for that matter.

So to answer your question...

Providing that I wanted to live > 10 more years, I would thank the doctors for zeroing in and alerting me to one of the situations that is currently killing me at that rate and start investigating natural/alternative treatment methods combined with whatever lifestyle changes are required to slow, stop, or reverse whatever the damage is.

BruceM 10-20-2004 11:50 AM

I'd probably book an appointment with Dr. Kevorkian for 2014 or 2015

crockett 10-20-2004 12:04 PM

I would travel as much as I could, see the things I always wanted to see. That's one of my goals with being a webmaster.. I can't really do it yet but I hope to be able to travel to all those cool places I see pictures of.

SteveLightspeed 10-20-2004 12:05 PM

I wouldn't change a thing, because there are no guarantees that I'll even be here tomorrow.

Seize the day! Live every day like it's your last, cuz someday you'll be right.

Love like you've never been hurt,
And dance like no one's watching."

I'll add that I'd get better insurance - work smarter and not harder & spend every giggly moment with my kids & husband.

I'd write a lot more-make a daily journal for my kids or grandkids to read some day. Tell them what to avoid - steer clear from & what to take advantage of.

Let everyone know how much I love them and how important and vital they are to my journey & promise that if there is a heaven and I could somehow confirm it to them - I definitely will!

Lykos 10-20-2004 01:53 PM

I would be in panic for sure...:glugglug

Tricksy 10-20-2004 03:21 PM
