Anybody heard of them?
Can anyone recomend a reputable SE service?

I've heard of them. They spam me at least twice a day.

What a joke - THEY are not even in Google - how do you expect them to get you there.

Proper SE optimiztion requires multiple sites that are listed well. It takes months. Anyone that claims otherwise is either a scammer (they list you in goto and then claim - see you are in the top 10), a liar, or doesn't know what they are talking about.

Despite what most people think - a listing of 20 for most keywords is almost worthless. You need to be as near the top as possible.

You can still optimize your pages for the SE - but with out link popularity or PageRank (Google) you will get pretty much no where for any competitive term.

You can find some of the technical articles from google at a page I made. If you really want to understand PageRank - you need to get the google toolbar.

Goodluck - it really is not hard to optimize pages yourself. Most of the engines besides google are pretty much worthless for free listings.

Seekercenter looks rediculous. It appears they are relying on you to be too lazy to actually read an article about search engines.

Search Engines have changed dramatically over the past few years. I agree with Chris on this one. Link popularity is a must. Don't moan about recips, they pay off in the end.

The absolute latest craze with the Engines is Themes. My site, Get Noticed, is a perfect example of Themes. Get Noticed is all about "getting noticed". Every page is about you "getting noticed"... whether it be "submitting" to the Engines, "submitting" to the TGP's or "submitting" anywhere. Every page is about "getting noticed". In other words, you won't come to my site for a listing of movie theaters or race cars.

Relevance is the keyword here.
