This is where I start showing my age...

Bullitt

Its got Steve McQueen, what more do I have to say? :thumbsup

The director called for speeds of about 75-80 mph, but the cars (including the ones containing the cameras) reached speeds of over 110 mph. Filming of the chase scene took three weeks, resulting in 9 minutes and 42 seconds of footage. They were denied permission to film on the Golden Gate Bridge.

The Blues Brothers

I remember when they filmed that here, it was a sight to see 50+ Illinois State and Chicago Police cars tearing down the Kennedy. :winkwink:

Part of that was filmed about 2 blocks from where I lived at the time. I remember walking to work on Saturday morning and seeing all these cars on 190th St sitting on their roofs. Could not figure out what the hell happened the night before

erehwon 10-20-2004 01:40 AM

Shit, how could I have forgotten "To Live and Die in LA" that had one of the best chase scenes in a long time, and they hired just about every stunt driver in California for that one.

I'll have to rent that one again soon.

SpikeHeel 10-20-2004 01:53 AM
