Khypermedia DVD Burner / 8x4x8x DVD+RW ... any good?
 

Anyone heard of this brand of DVD burner? Is it worth it at $55 CDN?

Only downside is it doesn't burn DVD-R, just DVD+R.

Spend a couple extra bucks and get a an oem Pioneer 16x.. it burns everything.

I've already got one that burns everything. An LG, but only 4x.

I'm looking for a cheap drive for my non-tech-savvy brother. DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD-RAM/... doesn't matter to him.

I just don't wanna end up buying a piece of junk. I've never heard of Khypermedia, but TigerDirect says "You'd expect to pay 3 or 4 times as much for a DVD/CD burner lauded by industry experts as being among the best of its class."
