Google adsense question

i just added google adsense to a non-adult site. when ive done it in the past i would get a text banner with 4 different ads on it. this time when i did it with the same settings im getting just 1 non profit organization ad on the banner.

did i do something wrong?

Means it's either not indexed yet or there's no ads that match your site's text

That just means there's nothing appropriate to display. You can configure it so that if there are no matching ads it will fallback to one of your own banners or ad handler URLs, instead of the (unpaid) charity ads.

Takes ~10min for the bot to crawl.

Sometime it fucks up tho and you have to wait days.

is there a way to make it so ads will display? its for a certain car site, i searched google for the type of car and theres a shitload of ads.

Google brags about intelligent indexing, so you have to contend with that. You can restrict certain sites from advertising thru Adsense...but at this time ya couldn't just auto-determine yourself.

Its all about contextual relevance.

Example:

Build a page with 100 indexable words on it.
10 of them are your focus.

The other 90 words shoul stand on their own and if you remove the 10 and leave blanks...anyone reading it would be able to guess what the word is.

That's becoming contextually relevant and Google states that they will display ads based upon your page/sites contextual relevance.

Some food for thought!

Hope this helps get your ads more targeted.

As stated above, its about context. If relevant ads aren't on there within a day then you got a problem. Make sure you got plenty of text with keywords.

when you put google adsense on your page(s)
the bot "reads" your keywords and text then
finds appropiate ads for it. one of my mainstream
sites took a day to get the ads up, on another site,
it only took an hour.

One more thing make sure you haven't blocked their media bot. That will also result in non profit ads.

I hear google car ads don't pay.
