I get the gallery, and no popups

johndoebob 10-19-2004 05:43 PM

Bullshit, there is no reason to redirect their own potential customers. :2 cents:

I guess you got spy / adware on your comp.

There's plenty of reasons - either it's an error or they're just looking to make a little extra cash. But until it gets sorted out, I'm pulling their galleries.

Are you from Russia or a country that might be considdered as traffic waste?

Otherwise there is no reason, it's one of the most clean sponsors I know.

I'm not trying anything here - just giving a warning to those that use them. And yes I have contacted them about this problem.

I refreshed it about 20 times and never had a problem.

Yep I get this too....seems like the 3rd or 4th time u hit it it keeps going to the 404 hell after that

Alltopnotch 10-19-2004 06:08 PM

wtf???

Wilber 10-19-2004 06:12 PM

There is no redirect there, refreshed multiple times.

Why is it when operating-system-deficient users run into probs
everything legitimate gets blamed...

...next time find the prob before trying to burn someone.

keyboard warrior 10-19-2004 06:17 PM

they have pops all over there.

soon as i turn my pop blocker off it goes into auto on.

I think you and Jimmie need to go look up random in the dictionary. I have checked the gallery on a completely clean computer and still got redirected. All I know is it isn't geo-targeted.

cezam 10-19-2004 06:26 PM

well i refreshed multiple times, and got 404 after a while.... but it seems more like an error on their server, i don't think they would redirect :2 cents:

Alltopnotch 10-19-2004 06:36 PM

some people saying yes...some saying no...so whats the real deal?

Martin 10-19-2004 06:41 PM

None for me. I was able to get the gallery and rub one out no problem.

Slick 10-19-2004 06:44 PM

I'm getting 404 with the link every time and I'm from the US

Alltopnotch 10-19-2004 06:52 PM

i just clicked the link again and it redirected to a 404 error page...wtf...

cosis 10-19-2004 07:36 PM

my script reported a redirection today

66.55.128.73 - <http://galleries.allinternal.com/mic...2/2/index.html> 302 > <http://errors.perfectgonzo.com/404.php>

slapass 10-19-2004 07:39 PM

Nice now it is a 404 and we can not see that java for ourselves?

rowan 10-19-2004 07:41 PM

Hmm... posted on another board that it was 404, now I can see the gallery... something is definitely up.

To the people that saw consoles: did you see them off 404.php (which is a popup hell) or off the gallery?

The consoles are off the 404 - there's also some auto-install crap on one of the exits.

cosis 10-19-2004 07:45 PM

i saw pop up hell off the 404

rowan 10-19-2004 07:45 PM

It's possible that the redirects to 404.php are "random" because they're using a cluster, perhaps one of the boxes is FUBARed.

GTS Mark 10-19-2004 08:20 PM

I'm sure it's an honest mistake, Perfect Gonzo is a straight up program.

Was this in the html?

I checked the gallery, it's not there. I also didn't get redirected nor get any pop-ups

Hate to put it on a very public black list.

my brownie is pulling galleries everyday

Eman - PG 10-20-2004 02:20 AM

Yesterday starting at ~11:20am EST we had a problem with one of our load balanced servers causing the particular requests on that server to return as 404. As we use multiple servers some requests going to functional servers were ok where as others were not. Thats why some people were able to reproduce the error while others were not. The issue is now fixed. The popups were caused by the 404 page and not by the galleries. We do not do country or selective redirects or embed popups on our galleries. The error was purely accidental. Below you can see the bandwidth graph of that particular server during the incident:

Thanks to everyone bringing this to our attention!
