Do hosted galleries HAVE to look professional?
 

To be effective....if you are pushing a program, do their hosted galleries have impress you? Or could you do well with some not-too-shabby gals?

I'd still push them as long as they were not idiotic looking.

Depends.. On my TGP's I prefer a good looking gallery but if I can thumb a decent pic and people click it 100 times more than any other pic on the page, it has served one half of the equation; provided trades. But I also like to get PAID, so I try not to run just anything.

Hosted galleries have to impress the webmaster first, or they won't bother putting it up

Most designs are rather made to look nice than getting better sales as my selfmade ones. :2 cents:

Ha-ha! That's if webmaster needs hosted galleries to jerk off at. Those who need them to make money evaluate their convertability, if I may say so, and not how pretty they look.

As far as my experience, the simpler the gallery the more money it brings.

Very true..thats why most HG's dont convert for shit. Too bad alot of programs take the route.

yup - I think the quality of the pics is the key. But shit, some of these webmasters will not put it up if its not purrdy. I really do not mind a simple table with some text and a banner if the pics look good. I have had some great conversions with VERY simple shit

That means they are stupid, I am impressed when I get my checks in the mail then I know what galleries work!

My thought exactly.... when I see a gallery I think to myself... "would I pull a CC out on this to see more?"

I agree on simple - we are due to launch hosted galleries soon -
and are going for a whole range of looks - amateur - pro etc but all clean interfaces -

I think that the gallery should follow the site that is being pushed. I dont mean to duplicate the site, but along the same lines.

Colors etc.

well, very often gallerys with a simple layout and good sales text out perform fancy grphic gallerys in both CTR and signups........
