That guy was a pussy.

Where to start is to not give a shit, every week theres a new "_______ can kill you" story on the news.. fuck it... just live.. before you find out breathing is dangerous to your health.

xclusive 10-19-2004 09:45 AM

Here's an idea if you eat too much of anything you will get sick...

sickkittens 10-19-2004 09:46 AM

I'm a vegetarian and I substitute alot of beef dishes with Boca ground "beef". It's healthy for you too.

veggies tacos
veggie chili
veggie american chop suey
veggie lasagna

Other stuff:

tofu burgers
tofu kabobs
falafals

Just watch what you cook it with (don't use butter and all that fatty stuff)

Boca and Morningstar products

:2 cents:

sickkittens 10-19-2004 09:47 AM

BTW, I've yet to see the movie. How much does he eat daily?

Nasty D 10-19-2004 09:47 AM

Don't Drink ANY SODA and give up fries

Shoving a shotgun up my ass and blowing the top of my head off sounds like a better option... tofu?

LadyMischief 10-19-2004 09:50 AM

Come over for dinner like I've been bugging for you to do since you moved here, silly!! I only serve real homemade goodness :) Ask anyone who's eaten my cooking :)

strats 10-19-2004 09:50 AM

phone book.

health

food

store

:Graucho

Spelt bread (no more wheat)

Veganaise instead of Mayonaise

a good oil if you like your bread buttered

Soymilk

Organic Berries

Fresh greens

some fruits

some other veggies

Beans

My advice everything else is open except for onions. :2 cents:

Btw,... Silk homeade ice cream with honey or berries is my personal favorite

That and bread, veganaise, mustard and romaine

Also, pick up a good multi vitamin as well as a big bottle of vitamic C and Alpha Lipoic Acid. Those are the only ones I remember, its been so long

There have been numerous studies involving 20,000 milligrams of vitamic C a day doing some very wonderful things for terminally ill patients. dont get chewable vitamic C, the acid deteriorates the teeth. Ester C is alkalinizes, which is good for people who have sensitivities to the acidity of normal vitamic C.

33% of people have gluten (wheat) allergies, so abstinence is smart.

ytcracker 10-19-2004 09:51 AM

Subway gets boring fast but is the best alternative to fast food that's open til late

murray_dawg 10-19-2004 12:14 PM

Fries are so bad dude. Also drop even diet pop... its bad.

If it's greasy and wonderful... chances are you shouldn't eat it. :)

C-Bass 10-19-2004 12:19 PM

99% of stuff that you can buy pre-made is usually bad for you cause of all the preservatives that go into the food.

Dont be lazy, make sumptin at nite.

kaylacam 10-19-2004 12:19 PM

Do what I do...when you have a day to yourself, cook a lot and freeze meal-sized portions so you can grab and reheat when in a hurry! :)

Basic_man 10-19-2004 12:20 PM

Yeah, this movie is freak! But I still eat McDonalds :(

Just 3 meals a day, and has to eat everything on the menu over the course of the month. He also super sized anytime he was asked if he wanted it that way.

YT that is not true they had the week he lost one LB in the movie.

More than anything I like the fact that they showed how little the school system gives a shit about what children are eating. And how problem kids who are not hopped up on sugar all the time actually became better students just by changing their diet. There are several studies out there that have shown the same results.

D if you want to see some good nutritional info check this page out...

You can still eat fast food you just have to make good choices. Also eating at home is much less expensive than fast food. You just have to make time.

Strife 10-19-2004 12:24 PM

Ate McDonalds only once after seeing that movie

try some meal replacements, most are low in fat and high in protien which will help you lose weight. They cost about $2 each which isnt that bad. Just have one every few hours and a small meal of lean beef or chicken at the end of the day. Drinking lots of water helps too ;). Check out http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/mrps.html for some meal replacements.

Anyone that says eating out is cheaper than eating at home is crazy!

Seriously Derek, eating at home is very cost efficient, it's better food, and it's much healthier for you. I probably have one "out of the house" meal every 2 weeks, every other meal I eat at home. Doing that, my monthly grocery bill is never more than $120. I AM pretty small and don't eat a whole lot so take that into consideration, but I do get to eat whatever I want.

Go to the store and pick up a bag of frozen chicken breasts, you can get a 4lb bag for around $8-12. You should get about 8 breasts out of it and the possibilities are endless with how you can use it. Chicken sandwiches, chicken salad, barbecue chicken, chicken and pasta, chicken and rice, etc.

Pasta and rice are very inexpensive. Just the other day I bought 5 packages of pasta for $5 and 5 boxes of rice for $4. Each of those items should cover 2-4 meals for one person depending on what else you have with dinner.

You can usually find great deals on canned vegetables. Couple weeks ago I picked up green beans for $0.40 a can. Watch the ads for specials, if you see something on sale be sure to stock up on it.

If you want to eat healthy and cheap you're going to have to start cooking, there's really no way around it, just be smart about it. If you're cooking up pasta, make a couple packages so you have enough for the whole week. Cook in bulk, you'll save money AND time.
