Photoshop help - why does my screengrabs get black/white?

Sometimes when I use printscreen and paste into Photoshop I only get 2 colour black and white. Seems to be a memory issue or something (I´ve tried to purge the memory). Anyone who know why?

Actually I have tried that but it isnt the problem really. See, it works mostly when the computer is "freshly" rebooted but then fucks up. I have tried to purge, shut down all applications etc etc without any effect...damn...:(

Make sure when you open the new document to paste into it's set to RGB color

yeah you probably have the setting on greyscale or b&w or something.
