<rant> so i get this email this morning saying my google account is suspended because i didn't identify myself in my adword campain that i was an affiliate to something. so you have to fucking say HI I"M AN AFFILIATE PLEASE CLICK ME to advertise with google? horseeeeeeeeeeeshit</rant>

Everyone who uses adwords is my guess. Pretty ridiculous really. Just stick 'Aff.' at the end of your advertising text and they accept that.

Exactly that. It's easy to work around and the rule has been in place for a long while. If you can't stick to the pretty clear rules (no matter how daft they seem) why bitch about it?

You're acting as if there is a problem. Google's TOS very clearly states that you have to identify your ad as affiliate if you are acting as an affiliate. All their email says is you have been suspended until you make that change. They're not PayPal...you're still in business, pending slight modification.

And, in case you were wondering, having "aff" in your ad does not deter clicks :thumbsup

i know it has happened to me too. i just stop using ad words completeily. i never got good conversions from it

You've never advertised on PPC engines before? This is a pretty common thing on Overture and Adwords.

I dont see many people using AFF when I look at some keywords. I imagine they will catch up with them eventualy.
