I'm looking for information or people who have experience with streaming chat sites. Its looks like many sites are working on Java applets or macromedia flash video...what are the pros and cons of each?

Unless you are looking to innovate, you are just better off signing up with one of the many cam companies and market that.

FlashComm is much faster and smoother than Java and has got several already made components.
Java on the other end is free while you have to buy a FlashComm Server licence.

There are no decent live video systems with accounting/billing built in available - for free or otherwise. Pretty much everything is a P.O.S.

I built my own system but that is not something to be undertaken by the faint of heart, or non-programmer.
