How come no Html Gallery pages
 

Im curious

How come most free hosts , tgps , and other large link sources wont allow you to post up html gallery pages. They worked really good and got some very high conversions. Especially since you can target every specific picture to a specific advertisement. Wuz up with that ?

Cuz with HTML, you can also script popups, redirects, maximized uncloseable windows, and all sorts of other hells that everyone hates. Can't do that stuff with a jpg.

I think it has to do with the TGP owner having to check every single page to make sure it doesnt have popups or 300 banners. Its not worth their time.

Richards Realm allows you to post html galleries, not sure who else does though

True , However I did think about that. Can't we just figure a way to immediate ban those types of pages. At first glance have the pages scanned for that , and then if there are and changes after being posted they are placed on autoban. This way it will force people ( if they wanna keep their damn page up ) to use the html method to their advantage. Plus it would make the original index page much neater and free of mess , which in turn would make the site look more unique and worthwhile hence advancing conversion rates.

I am sure that if you work closely with TGP owners that you could have this arrangement. But for the average guy just posting away it would never fly. Talk to the ones that you post to all the time, I am sure that if you post for a long time and have a good rapport with them that they wouldnt mind.

Any idea how long it takes to review galleries? I have done it every single day for over two years and if I had to go through and check every pic to make sure there wasn't popups and redirects and stuff it would take me all day. Blame the cheaters on runining it for the honest webmasters. I remember when the TGP I work for did allow pics on html pages but obviously too many cheaters were taking advantage of it and the rule was changed.

Heck more and more link lists aren't allowing free sites to have pics on html pages. I've stopped including them in my free page templates cause they were getting kicked back for it.

The other day I saw a gallery on the hun that had pictures in html pages.

is not as simple as it sounds.
I wrote a spider in Perl, (short, sweet, very efficient) that will do what you described. To check a page the size of JJJs,
takes about 60 seconds. This may not sound like alot, but in terms of working at ethernet speeds with full cpu recources, it's an eternity. To go 1 link deeper and check all images pages would increase that by a factor of at least 15. Without a specially set up server it would be unmanageable.

The TGP owners are just trying to save themselves alot of unnecessary work.

I Think html galleries should be brough back but kept under control. I know it won't Im just saying i wish it did. It would really be a big help. It would just be so much easier to target your audience to perfection and promote maybe double even triple the conversions.

If you can't convert with just your thumbs page, maybe you should find a new source of income. Having to check 100-150 links a day is enough, now add in the fact that most of my listings are 20-30+ pics, that would make it 2000-4500 pages to check out. For me that's the only reason as to not list html pics. Just image poor ol guys like hun with over 1000 submits per day... he'd go fucking blind!
