apparently you've never been here, and/or when you did visit you couldn't afford to go where whitey goes aka the expensive parts of the city...

I've heard enough stories from dumb foreigners marrying local girls and getting ripped their whole money off, extortion from families when somebody jumped in front of your car, corrupt cops etc.

If you just fuck hookers and they get caught you won't get problems of course.

I heard there are mostly UK and German guys who life there for a while ripping of their own people who are there on holiday or just arrived.

correct... two years ago an aussie couple got busted in Patong, Phuket shooting content in a back alley apartment, 25 year jail sentence...

btw, i live in Patong 2-3 months of each year myself, leaving in a couple weeks. screw the states, screw the elections, etc..

almost impossible to prove that you do..... and they have more important things to worry about than someone who is checking their stats for porn...

they will have to do something if you get a pissed off mode/whore who turns you in...

I keep reading news stories of hordes of crazy religious freaks slaughtering police, soldiers, and non-muslims in southern Thai villages. Am I correct in assuming foreigners just shouldn't be in the southern part of the country? Are violent religious freaks active elsewhere in Thailand?

this is in the BFE villages near the border... westerners would have no reason whatsoever to be there

Didn't hear about that one. Phuket is a small place... too small to be shooting porn. I do know that Bangkok has been cracking down, we had a run in with the police on our last trip but we made it out fine. Though... any given night there are people shooting whores around Soi 4. Lots of porn getting made in Bangkok and Pattaya these days.
